Vitamin help new to it, calcium and magnesium

If Im taking a 1000mg calcium a day, should my magnesium be at 500 mg? A ratio

of 2 to 1?

For someone new buying vitamins, can you give me the basics I need daily also to

combat candida?

The ratio is 1:1.
