Hi Garth,

My belief is that anything that weakens the nervous system can lead to

electrical sensitivity. If candida growth is a serious problem for

you, then it could contribute to your ES.

Hello,

be aware, that Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger both may give you the

symptoms of electrosensitivity,

without being electrosensible.

It is my opinion, that only *sick* people may become electrosensible.

By *sick*, I mean a damaged immune system.

And for that there may be several reasons;

Operations

Medications; wrong or too long

Injected contrast liquid

Heavy metals like mercury, aluminium, etc

Poisons

Near death experience

Unresolved traumas

Etc.

That is the reason why 75 % of the people do not have any complaints YET !,

because they did not reach their level, by which the system explodes.

I agree with that a damaged immune system is key. However, Candida

and similar gut bacteria/fungi problems seem to be one of the ways which can

lead to this. If " leaky gut syndrome " develops, some key nutrients may not

be absorbed, while other large molecules get through the gut wall which

should not, and can upset the immune system. This starts the downhill

spiral which eventually weakens the system so much that it leads to ES.

We think this was what happened to Sue. She had ME-type symptoms (physical

exhaustion) which were cured by an anti-candida diet, but an underlying

weakness still seemed to be there. Howevr, it did not turn to major immune

system dysfunction till 3 years later (triggered by a severe stress episode)

and it took another 2 years before her ES started.

Nil,

Years ago in 1995 I had some yeast problems. When I took Zithromax

for a year all such problems totally disappeared. Folks on this list

talk about treating yeast infections. I don't even know where to

start with a diagnosis, let alone treatment. Why would I assume that

candida is a major underlying problem, given that I have many of the

symptoms listed on the two links below? Maybe I just need to live on

Zithromax the rest of my life?

I have had a messed up toenail for 5 years. Nothing cures it. Is it

fungal? Maybe. I get thrush-like symptoms. Well, I have had them

maybe 5 days in the past 2 years. Is it thrush or lichen planus? The

dentist labeled it lichen planus. The MDs gave me diflucan.

I am asking questions because some recommend agressive treatment for

conditions that may or may not exist, or may or may not be needful of

treatment.

Meanwhile, I eat yogurt every day with 4 bacteria in it, and I put

some sort of antifungal on my toenail twice a day for five years.

I don't give up hope, except for stuff like this. Then maybe it is

time to quit?

This isn't the first time I've thought I was up against Candida... For the last

year I have been ignoring a number of symptoms- hoping with time they would just

disappear; but they didn't.

I was wondering- based on my symptoms, if you could give your personal opinion

on whether or not you think I'm dealing with Candida?

1. Rash on face - Started probably 18- 24months ago, thought I had an allergy to

chilli. Starts off as a form of itchy hives then moves through a number of

stages where the skin peels and over a period of two weeks is gone.

2. Migrains and headaches

3. Fatigue

4. Anxiety

5. Mood swings

6. Depression

7. Aches in feet and hands

8. Insomnia

9. Allergies to food, fragrances, and skin cleaning products

10. Irritaibility

11. Flatulence, Cramping and Constipation

12. Diarrhea

13. Weight gain (15kgs in less than 6months)

14. Inability to diet (went on weight-watchers for 4 weeks and gained 4kgs)

15. FREQUENT episodes of cystitis

16. Sore throat

I have been taking an oral contraceptive for almost 5 years and have been on a

number of anti-biotics over the same time period for Cystitis, Tonsilitis, cold

and flu symptoms and Strep throat.

How does it sound to you?

Regards,

Libby

Hello Libby,

All of your symptoms sound like typical candida symptoms.  For further support,

you can take Dr. Crook's Questionnaire, found HERE.  Other tests for candida,

such as the spit test or stool tests, are unreliable.

But regardless of whether you believe candida is your problem, this diet can

help you.  Make sure you read the articles that were sent to you when you

joined, and please get back to us with any questions.  We're here to help!
