Guest guest
I guess this is pretty common with Candida, but I have extreme food allergies. I was diagnosed with Candida 4 years ago and I think I had about cured it when I got pregnant and fell off the bandwagon completely. After my pregnancy, my Colitis came back 10x worse, and I developed a new, completely crippling condition - which they are calling Inflammatory arthritis. It is so bad that I can not move an inch, and it comes on fast. i've been hospitalized for it, and have had nannies in and out of my house because I can not get up to take care of my kids. I was eating awfully. So i finally decided I needed to go back to my homeopathic dr and get back onto the Nystatin and candida diet. But it is sooo much harder this time because my Candida levels are higher so my food allergies are crazy. Some of my food allergies are chicken, eggs, corn, soy, sesame, celery and all nuts except peanuts. I am a big eater and am always hungry. I keep falling off the diet because I am sooo limited and it is just so hard. I used to snack on cashews and nuts and popcorn in the eves. And I made homemade salsa w/ corn chips. Now I have so little as far as snack options. I'm usually ok with meals, I use white rice, brown rice, quinoa, or rice noodles, veggies and fresh meat. I have been putting coconut milk in some of my dishes which is fabulous, but I'm not sure it's allowed?! Also, Sami's bakery makes these Millet & Flax chips and bread that I could not live without. If you have not discovered them, you have gotta! I have found a few health food stores that carry it. I am lucky and one is nearby. I do good for a couple of days but it's the on-the-go and snacking times that I fall off. I have 3 kids (one 18 months) so I am constantly on the go. Sometimes I make my organic plain oatmeal with salt and coconut oil, and that is the only time I see my house til eveningtime. i always take my millet & flax chips but it's just not enough so I break down and get something while i'm out. Or I get sick of rice cakes or millet & flax bread with butter, peanut butter and/or coconut oil. I'm not big on raw vegetables unless they're dipped in ranch (except carrots, I eat them all the time). I steam and saute veggies often but I'm just getting sick of the same thigns every day. i've been on the diet about 3 weeks and am afraid I'm not gonna make it if I don't find some new things to eat. Quick things that don't take much prep time! Anyone have any yummy easy snack ideas for me?
