Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to the program and support group. My name is Pamela Shuffler. I've been on a very low carb diet since December 8. But I didn't find Bee's program until about two weeks ago. I switched over to that then. The only thing I wasn't already doing diet-wise was giving up raw dairy. I drank raw kefir, ate raw cheese, and ate raw sour cream. And, of course I didn't follow the optimal diet ratios. I hadn't cheated since Dec. 8, until yesterday. My cravings had gotten so bad and my friend gave me some sour-leavened bread and soaked granola. I couldn't pass it up. Very sick today. Does cheating negate everything you've already done? Also, could the dairy have been keeping my cravings at bay. I'm kind of discouraged that my cravings were so bad this far into low carb. I followed the steps on electrolyte drink and vitamin C etc., but nothing seems to be helping. Also, I'm nursing. Do my ratios need to be any different? Do I need more protein, for instance? Also, how important is it to keep the protein at 70 -77 (I'm 5'7 " ). When my ratios are tallied at the end of the day, I usually have less than the .3 percent of carbs, but usually more than the 77 g. of protein. The fat ratio is always right in the correct range. Could this be messing me up at all?
