Guest guest
Hello Cara, I'll let Bee address your concerns specifically, I just wanted to offer the following thoughts: I would actually read that snippet the following way: having a fungal overgrowth makes everything worse!! Just look at all the experience we have from members on this group, and how sick we've all been. And furthermore, what are your chances of *injecting* candida albicans (or having it injected) into your body??? (which is what was done to those mice) Hypercholesteremia is very rare; Taubes discusses it in his book Good Calories, Bad Calories. If in your years of exposure to the medical system, no one has told you you " have " it... I wouldn't worry about it Hope that helps! andra, a group Moderator I was reading this article (http://www.westonap rice.org/ The-Benefits- of-High-Choleste rol.html) on the Weston A. Price foundation website and came across a paragraph that is perplexing and a little startling to me: <snip> So this means that, for whatever reason, cholesterol somehow is more dangerous in those with an overgrowth of candida albicans fungus. I wish there was more research available on this interaction. .. So far all they know is it's riskier... Any thoughts on this anyone? Has this been made aware of already on the group? I searched but couldn't find anything. Warmly, Cara

In a similar experiment using injections of Candida albicans, a common fungus, Dr. Netea and his team found that mice with familial hypercholesterolemia died more easily than normal mice.22 Serious infections caused by Candida albicans are rare in normal human beings; however, they are mainly seen in patients treated with immunosuppressive drugs, but the finding shows that we need more knowledge in this area. However, the many findings mentioned above indicate that the protective effects of the blood lipids against infections in human beings seem to be greater than any possible adverse effects. Second, candida albicans isn't rare for normal human beings, since even the medical field claims over 70% of the population have it. Third, humans wouldn't be getting candida from an injection, since it is naturally formed in our bodies in order to clean them up, just like other bugs are, i.e. viruses, bacteria, cancer. That is why candida, bacteria, cancer, etc. cannot be cured by " killing it off. " It just doesn't work that way. Candida is only cured by building up the immune system, which is done by: 1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements), 2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), 3) Eliminating damaging foods, and 4) Eliminating toxins in general. When the immune system is strong enough it will automatically " make " candida (or any bug, cancer, etc.) change back into the organism it is supposed to be when the body is healthy. It's like the manure pile and the flies, with the manure pile representing the poor condition of the body. You cannot get rid of the manure pile by killing off the flies. You must clean up the manure pile instead, which means building up your immune system. Cholesterol is saturated fats mainly found in butter, coconut oil, lard, and it is the very best antioxidant any human can get, since it cleanses the entire body, reconstructs all cells, and even gets rid of heavy metals. Most cell membranes need to be constructed out of 50% saturated fat; lung cells needs 100% in order to be healthy - this according to Enig at the Weston A. Price Foundation. Your body would still make cholesterol even if you didn't 1 drop of it. Last, their conclusion is: " however, the many findings mentioned above indicate that the protective effects of the blood lipids against infections in human beings seem to be greater than any possible adverse effects. " Unfortunately the Weston A. Price Foundation still believes in the germ theory of disease, which is totally false, so they talk about infections as if we can " catch " them, but we can't.
