Guest guest
I should add that I am getting around okay on my feet. I am using a cane for steadiness on stairs and curbs, and for help when pivoting or turning, but other than that, I am mobile. I'm careful enough that I'm not in much danger of falling. I have not had any further episodes of getting down on the floor and getting stranded. I'm walking and doing shopping when I need to. When I have to shop for food, I'm trying to cut down on the number of places I visit to stock up the apartment. If I walk too much then I will likely be sore the day after that. If I stand too much, same thing. If a store has motorized carts for shopping, sometimes I use that. I'm not where I will be by the end of the strict form of your diet, but I am functioning okay enough to do things I need to do. Because of my large size and the narrowness of the bathtub we have, I am not going to do a full-body Epsom salt bath, much as I would like to. I don't want to get into the tub and not be able to get out under my own power. > > I want to heal myself, and I'm still a little bit of a scaredy cat that I'll have as much pain as before. I'll check in in a few weeks and post how I'm doing. > +++Hi Pam M. I understand why you would be scared once you stopped the ALA, but I think your body will be able to heal better. However, you may still get some soreness and healing reactions in your feet that can't be avoided. Retracing is not the same as the " real thing " since it is much less pain but it is necessary in order to heal properly. So hang in there and I hope you find this is true for you like many others have reported. Keep me posted! All the best, Bee
