Guest guest
Am i the only one wondering if the implants really are the cause of our problems. I am seriously wondering since we all seem to be so sick still. The things are gone so why aren't we getting well. maybe we all would have gotten sick anyway...or else the implants triggered something that is now permanent. i would love to hear something different. It seems everyone still has issues even after explant. maybe it is like lung cancer, you give up smoking but it doesn't go away....maybe it just doesn't spread as fast. For those who think I am lucky for all I can do, yes I do allot of things, always did though, even with the implants in, and I think my attitude was better when the implants were in only because I felt better about my body at least how it looked. I just feel like the improvements thus far have not been good enough to make what I have been through worth it, but it is too late now. I push myself so hard to do things, this morning I almost called in sick but forced myself to get to work...It is so difficult sometimes. i am so sick of the constant struggle with this crap. Sorry to be such a downer I will pray for us all
Guest guest
As far as the implants causing this.....there is no question in my mind. , why do you question this still? You have seen and felt the changes in your own body--the sick feeling from the beginning, the blood tests that finally showed problems with your ANA titres (right? you did say that happened, didn't it?) There have been enough women sick with bizarre symptoms that I don't see how we can doubt it. But that is just what the manufacturer's want us to do....if they can cause enough doubt, they can get away with this, and more and more women will get harmed because everyone will be saying, " It isn't the implants! " I have a friend, who I think I told you about. Her experience leaves no question in my mind that the implants are causing these problems. I will tell you all about her again. Her name is , and she lives in Covina, California. got silicone gel breast implants for cosmetic reasons in the early 90's. She had them for about 2 years when she started having very strange health problems. was a healthy woman...she worked out religiously at the local gym. But she started having the joint pain, pain in her feet, foggy head, horrible fatigue--all the trademark signs of silicone illness. She realized it was probably the implants that had made her sick, from all the news media stuff, and after researching it, she had the silicone gel implants removed, and she got better. She healed very well, and lived a normal life again. That could have been the end of the story. But, it is not. About a year later, she decided that she really missed those implants, and decided to get the saline ones instead. She questioned the doctor about the safety of the saline implants, because of what she had heard about silicone gel and her own horrible experience with them. She was told that they were totally safe, of course. Shewent ahead and got the saline implants in, and from the very first day, she did not feel well! she had more of the same troubles, and then some. she thought maybe it was just that she needed to get over the surgery. She left the saline ones in for a year before she realized that she was sick all over again, and it was from the saline implants. The doctors told her no, it's not the implants, but she knew! She had already been through it. She got the implants out again, and spent about 9 months trying to heal, when she realized that her scar capsule had not been fully removed. She had been sicker from the saline implants than she had been from the silicone gel, and she was not healing completely, and reading her post-operative report, she saw that only the anterior capsule had been removed, and not the posterior. She had one more final surgery with Dr. Huang in Denver, who opened her back up again, and found the remaining scar tissue and did more revision work on her breasts. has healed completely, from what I last heard, and has a career now. But it took her almost 2 years to get fully healed after all she had been through with the saline implants. There is no DOUBT here! The implants made her sick! And it was the remaining scar capsule that had prevented her from fully healing. suffered through it with both kinds of implants, and she will tell you that there is no doubt about it. They made her sick. Yes, I do think our immune systems suffer a devastating blow, and we don't heal over night. We don't heal in months. We heal in YEARS. The immune system is very complex. There are all kinds of cells that are affected. Minerals are affected, mineral balances, hormone balances, pH balances, cells are toxic and need to be renewed, re-programed, whatever. It just is not a simple thing. , I hope you will lay this issue to rest and concentrate on the positive. You have done what you needed to do to get better. Now give it time and don't look back on what cannot be.
