bow -- i'm not sure that the conclusion you've drawn by those statements tom

made are the conclusions that most people have drawn. we know that there is

no chemical imbalance responsible for the conditions that are profit-driven.

mental illness is a SYMPTOM not a disease in and of itself. and yes psychiatry

is pure quackery and junk science. do some people exhibit symptoms of mental

illness? of course they do, but those symptoms are not caused by that

ubiquitous chemical imbalance that cannot be measured or quantified. in nearly

all

cases of mental illness the cause is severe nutritional deficiencies.

Hi Bee,

I hope you don't mind answering this question, it is a bit unrelated. **Do you

know what would 'cause' mental illness? Would it be the same 4 reasons as what

causes physical illness?**

A friend of mine claims he developed Bipolar after smoking cannabis one time.

But his mother died of stomach cancer (and many other cancers) not long ago, his

father's family is riddled with prostate cancer and they all suffer from

allergies (obviously candida).

I have suffered with depression in the past (mostly because of circumstances)

but lately I've been feeling disconnected and sensitive. I keep emotionally

attaching myself to people when I know the relationship won't work.

**Do you recommend therapy in some cases?**

I'm feeling anxious and then worrying about feeling anxious! lol! **Is there a

herb I can take? St 's wort?**

I'm taking all my supplements (minus CLO) and do the things you recommend for

depression on your website.

I'm sorry but I had to discontinue the CLO because of extreme bone pain and pain

around my heart. I just couldn't deal with it, my chest bones were sooo sore to

touch. I checked the bottle, it's an Australian brand, i worked out all the

ratios perfectly.. The pain went away after I stopped it. I am giving it a month

to let my body get rid of excess vit D before commencing it again in small doses

to begin with. I should mention that my doctor put me on Vit D3 drops because

apparently I had low levels of D. But this was about 5 months ago, so it's

probably not significant?

I have also started meditating every day and going for morning walks in the

sunshine. I also do some yoga every day.

Thanks so much,

Natalia

+++Hi Natalia. Mental illness can be caused by the same 4 reasons as physical

illness, however our minds can be reactive as well which is also a factor.

Orthomolecular medicine has taken a stand for over 60 years that there is no

such thing as schizophrenia, instead it is a lack of or imbalanced nutrition and

toxins. They have been successfully treating it with supplements, etc.

+++It would be impossible for anyone to become mentally ill from one smoke, or

even from smoking all their lives.

+++My program is about nutrition, so I wouldn't recommend therapy, particularly

psychiatric drugs and therapy. Dr. Price proved that proper nutrition improves

mental and emotional health.

> I'm feeling anxious and then worrying about feeling anxious! lol! **Is there a

+++Just do deep breathing exercises, and stick to this program.

+++CLO is one of the most important supplements that help with anxiety and

depression, so you should try to take it again, but ensure you are getting the

correct amounts of omega 3, and vitamins A and D.

Bee,

Thank you for making that clear, you've been a real help. I guess nowadays

people will use any excuse as to why they developed mental illness.

It's also good to know I won't have to fork out money for a psych visit :) It is

funny because I was feeling particularly anxious this morning when I posted

that, and now I am feeling much better after a nice slab of liver.

I will try the CLO in a few days, that way it would have been a month since

having too higher levels of Vit D and I would have hopefully gotten rid of the

excess. I've realised I wasn't taking an extra Vit A capsule, so maybe that will

help. I will let you know how it goes!

Thanks again,

Natalia

Hi Natalia,

I know Bee answered you about " therapy " already but I just wanted to chime

in....

Sometimes it IS helpful to speak to a therapist. A " therapist " doesn't have to

be a psychiatrist who will automatically prescribe drugs. There are licensed

Therapists or maybe a pastor who can listen and give you alternative ways to

view your behaviors and thoughts that will help you deal with destructive

patterns. I talked with a very helpful therapist when I was going through a

divorce. I needed assistance with the emotional upheaval it caused. I was also

depressed at the time but there was no mention of needing drugs to get through

it. Talking to someone trained to help was extremely beneficial for me.

I'm a yoga instructor and I can tell you that yoga will help you. The breathing

and meditation will be very good for you but don't overdo the asana (poses)

portion of the practice. Too much " exercise " or movement can mobilize toxins and

make healing reactions stronger. You want to keep as much of your energy as

possible available for healing.
