I made the CO bark and had that with lunch today, just to get more CO in me. It was OK. I mixed equal parts butter & CO with cinnamon and a bit of salt and stevia. Then refrigerate it. Really cuts the smell/taste of the CO, IMO. I'd bought the refined, thinking I'd read here it was a good substitute if you didn't like the taste of unrefined, only to read over and over that CO must be unrefined. :-(( Good luck. , began 03/09/10 and always looking for more ways to consume UNrefined CO... Guest guest
I'm a bit confused about the different coconut oils too, and would appreciate some assistance. I keep reading that we need to consume unrefined coconut oil. It appears that at the link provided in an earlier message, all the different varieties, refined and not, are listed under each company. I recall reading on this email group that Tropical Traditions expeller pressed CO is allowed on Bee's program, but it's listed as refined in the descriptions at the link. Hence my confusion. That's the oil I've had on hand, and have been using. I really hope it's one of the allowed CO's as I'm one of those that can't stand the taste of the coconutty oils. If it's NOT one of the approved types, can someone point out a less coconutty oil that is approved? " Coconut oils are available that don't have any flavor too, so you might try to get one of them instead - see this Survey on coconut oil which talks about those without flavor in them: http://www.healingn <http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/coconut5.php> aturallybybee.com/articles/coconut5.php "
Guest guest
Doing the raw egg drink is a good way to get a couple of tablespoons of CO first thing in the day. I don't worry about cooking with it so much anymore. I'm actually eating it for dessert now with freshly ground cinnamon and a dash of stevia sprinkled over it. Another member of this group does the same thing, and adds nuts to it. It handles that old desire to have something sweet after a meal. It must be the combo of cinnamon (sweet), nuts (crunch), and fat (decadence). Try it...at least once. You might find yourself liking it. When coconut oil becomes a treat, that is quite an accomplishment! > > >>I'm REALLY getting sick of the taste of Virgin Coconut Oil. Guest guest
Hi , I feel the same about coconut oil taste, so I buy the expeller processed CO from Tropical Traditions with NO flavor to it. However, when I did have the regular coconut oil, I found that using it to cook some onions and garlic and/or some curry powder really helped with the taste. I'm going to use the last of my regular coconut oil to make soap! Bon Appetit, Vicki > > > > > >>I'm REALLY getting sick of the taste of Virgin Coconut Oil. Guest guest
I will try the Tropical Traditions expeller oil, seems like a perfect solution! > > > > I'm a bit confused about the different coconut oils too, and would > > appreciate some assistance. > > > > I keep reading that we need to consume unrefined coconut oil.
