Guest guest
Well, I can't have gooey desserts anymore... but I *can* have a fair amount of luscious meat along with wholesome fats (such as a juicy rare steak)... and I consider that to be a fair trade-off! A couple of months ago, I stocked up on meats that were on sale... round steak, tri-tip (my favorite so far), chickens, turkeys (marked down after the holidays) and pork. I haven't had to buy a lot of meat in the last two months because I had so much stocked up at bargain prices. Makes me feel like a good ol' hunter-gatherer, it does. My sig. other cannot drive due to low vision, and he doesn't like food shopping that much, but it's kind of a game for me, to feed us decently or better for less money. I have sympathy for you folks who haven't eaten meat and a bit hesitant about eating meat, but personally I've always loved the taste of meat (rare when appropriate).
