Guest guest
I was looking for an Acidophilus capsule to insert for a yeast infection. Every brand at the health food store seems to have maltodextrin. The one I bought has FOS (Fructo-Oligosaccharides) I looked this up and this too is a sugar from artichoke. SHOULD I NOT USE THIS? I just dont know why they would add a sugar to a probiotic if we are trying to kill the yeast? Also the probiotic is 300 billion per capsule. Is that safe to insert down there? Guest guest
, Thank you. Do I peel the hard skin off first? On bees site - she says to use 'crushed' garlic? I'm a little hesitant because of any remnants that may be left in there, but the thread idea makes sense. Now I am wondering about the probiotics I've been taking for months and months now and if thats why im not getting better
Guest guest
Hi , Sorry I couldn't get back to yesterday. took too long to post your message before I went to bed, so thanks, Jackie for answering 's question )! (a group moderator) > > > Hi , > > You do peel the skin off but leave the little " root " end intact. You'll push the threaded needle through right above that little root because the garlic clove is the sturdiest there. Some websites say not to " nick " or crush the clove as the juice can feel like it burns as you insert the garlic. Some say to cut it in order to begin to release the juice. > I've never tried using garlic this way but there are many references to its effectiveness on the internet. > > Jackie > (group moderator) >
Guest guest
Thank you for the feedback! This is groundbreaking right here. yes It seems the more one dives into health we can see that all or majority of supplements is just another industry. Nothing can or will ever amount to food. I wonder how companies play out clinical trials about UC & IBS with probiotic therapy? This is not only fraudulent but down right wrong! > > > > Is it true that all forms of probiotics (capsule, powder, etc) are annihilated by stomach acid, making them useless? > > +++Hi Luke. I've been researching this for over 3 months, and I've discovered that any probiotics or prebiotics, like FOS, taken by mouth don't survive the digestive system to reach the large intestine where they are " supposedly " needed. The digestive system from mouth to large intestines doesn't use such bacteria to digest. > > FOS is a sugar which gets digested in the small intestines like any other carbs/sugars, and the small intestines is 23-25 feet long. > > Probiotics are made up of protein, carbs and fats so they get digested like any other foods, long before they could get to the large intestines. > > All the best, Bee >
