Guest guest
Bee and all, Have any of you read The Vegetarian Myth by Lierre yet? I am going to start reading it today. Bee you are ahead of the curve , It seems. She says All carbohydrate is sugar, yes all, this seems obvious, and even on the candida diet , any carbohydrates we eat turn to sugar. Shocking really but once again obvious .
Guest guest
Hi , Yes! I am pleased to say that Lierre hails from Western Mass, where I live! She is in CA now, but will be coming back here she thinks this summer. I am friends with Lierre on Facebook and she has posted that her book now ranks in the 500s on Amazon, and it is being translated into several different languages. I have recommended it to my 17-year old niece who is currently vegetarian. I will be cuirous to hear how the book is. I've gotten as far as the overview, which I found fascinating. Guest guest
How about garlic, onion and sauerkraut? Are they " good carbohydrates " and we should have them cause they are beneficial to our health? Can we eat them even in large quantities? (I eat garlic a lot...) > > > > Bee and all, > > > > Have any of you read The Vegetarian Myth by Lierre yet? I am going to start reading it today. Guest guest
Hi Moyre, Yes, those are all good veggies to have. In fact, sauerkraut is recommended with every meal to regulate stomach acid and aid digestion (use 1/4-1/2 cup unheated, unpasteurized good quality kraut). Onions and garlic both contain sulfur so they can cause healing reactions. Go easy on them to minimize healing reactions.
