Guest guest
> > Hi Bee > > My 19 year old has been dealing with candida for about 1 year. She was doing better until she left for college & the cafeteria doesn't have much she can eat. It's always white pasta, white breads & bagels, sugary cereals etc. Plus not many fruits or vegies. Even if they have chicken it is breaded. They have a policy that all students must live on campus all years unless they have a good reason. She would be better off in an aprtment where she can eat correctly. Any suggestions? Having to eat this food has now given her constant constipation to the point where she now bleeds with every bowel movement. Even Metamuil doesn't help. > +++Hi . That is a hugh dilemma for your daughter, which will make her so sick she may not be able to stay in school. Maybe she can get permission to live off campus due to being gluten intolerant. She could get a gluten tolerance test, which is usually positive for candida sufferers, along with a note from the doctor. Could she have a tea kettle and blender in her room so she can make the Egg Drink in the morning? When selecting a college, I think it is important to find out whether a person is able to have the foods they need to be healthy. My grandson went to Fireman's Training School, and lived on campus. They had a fully equipped kitchen, along with a living room and large bathroom for every 4 rooms in the dorm. So my grandson collected a lot of recipes from his Mom and I, and cooked what he wanted. If I think of anything else I'll let you know. Bee
Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. She has a common kitchen area with a stove so I am getting her a blender so she can make the egg drink for breakfast. 7 weeks to summer break then we can start again following the program better!
