Guest guest
> > Hello Bee, > > Is it ever advisable for a person like myself who has been on the diet for nine months to go off for a time because of stressors in life? As I write this, I think-this is a really dumb question! I've been broken out on my face, neck, shoulders, upper back and chest, and upper arms with lesions from discoid lupus for five months now, and that is depressing enough. But the stress level at home right now is out the roof! We've been having some issues with our 18 year old son, but the greatest stressor is my marriage of almost 25 years. I've not been dealing well with these stresses emotionally, and I wonder then how effective the diet is for me since I am so stressed out. Wouldn't extreme stress cause your body to be less efficient in healing in an attempt to protect us somewhat from the stress? +++Hi Leesa. When you are most stressed it is very critical that you stick to the program even more carefully. Your body must have proper nutrients every day no matter what is happening, otherwise your body will be sicker along with you being very stressed - that's a double whammy you don't need right now.
