Guest guest
> > So. I have chronic degenerative arthritis in my knee, hip and spine. I was on traditional doctor authorized pain meds for 4 years and became allergic to everything over a year ago. I have been off all opiates for over a year and 2 months now. I am convinced now the arthritis was caused from having candida most of my life. So,while detoxifying myself, how do I cope with the pain? I just filled in all the gaps I was missing yesterday with vitamin supplements. +++Hi . You can take White Willow Bark for the pain; buy it at a health store and take it according to the directions on the label. You can also use a mixture of 1/2 oil of oregano and 1/2 olive oil and rub it into the areas that hurt the worst. Oil of oregano is just as powerful of a pain killer as morphine. You can apply heat over the mixture to help it absorb. +++Also take Epsom salt baths, at least once a day. Also ensure you are taking the correct amounts of calcium and magnesium which helps with pain. > Is there more of something I should be taking then others? > I also have a strange feeling in my right thigh above my worst knee that varies from burning to feeling like a tightened muscle that will not relax. I have been using soothanol,or theragesic to give some relief. Of course I am sure this is not OK. This pain never really goes away but varies in degree. Have the toxins settled in my leg? +++Yes, that is caused by toxins. Try the mixture above to get some relief. > If I stop using these topical treatments for pain how do I cope with the pain so I am able to work , let alone sleep? I have changed my diet radically but not to the extent you call for, but I am now working toward this eliminating foods. +++Try the things I recommend, since medications will interfere with healing and detoxifying. > Will Coconut oil used as a topical cream help? +++Coconut oil helps your skin, but it won't help the pain. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
I know this is a crazy suggestion but I'll throw it out anyway. I feel the same way about extreme pain pills and had the same tummy troubles. I tried children liquid pain reliever and it actually worked for me. I keep some handy just in case. I hope you find relief!  Lori ________________________________ From: as if <xx_laura_s_xx@...> Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2012 10:07 AM Subject: pain relief  Hi Everyone I have a slightly of topic question, I am looking to find a new pain relief, im not a fan of taking pills I proffer the more natural options of hydro and acupuncture but my scoliosis is getting quite bad and the pain is bad, I usually take 30/500 co-codamol however the codeine gives me extreme constipation has anyone found a pain relief that is strong without codeine? Thanks
Guest guest
It's great that you have integrated acupuncture into your regimen, I've found it very helpful in pain management. My acupuncturist also gives me a daily tincture that I drink with hot water - a particularly noxious tea - that helps address inflammation and enhances the effects of my prescription medication. I did try the transdermal patch but the results were not significant and the cost was insane, your insurance might cover it so you should check it out. Each person responds to medications a little differently, it's worth exploring. I'm pretty happy with the codeine but I also eat foods specifically to address the inevitable constipation. It might be tasty but I laughingly call it cr*p food. Lots of lentils, yucca, sweet potato, vegetables of every possible variety. Also, I'm a big believer in addressing issues from lots of directions. One thing you might try is the cami shirt with a shelf bra. This adds a little extra support to your midsection and back while still working with style choices. Hope this is helpful, SiouxiQ > > Hi Everyone > I have a slightly of topic question, I am looking to find a new pain relief, im not a fan of taking pills I proffer the more natural options of hydro and acupuncture but my scoliosis is getting quite bad and the pain is bad, I usually take 30/500 co-codamol however the codeine gives me extreme constipation has anyone found a pain relief that is strong without codeine? > Thanks > > > >
