Guest guest
Hi Moyre, I am not a coconut oil lover either. We use this one: http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/expeller-pressed_coconut_oil.htm It has no coconut flavor at all, and is wonderful to cook with. My favorite ways to get my coconut oil in are Bee's egg drink and Jecca's Cream of Broccoli Soup at Recipes_For_Candida_Healing/msearch?query=J\ ecca & charset=windows-1252 I think you'll love your coconut oil if you eat it in these recipes! Bon Appetit, Vicki > > Can someone tell me how to increase my coconut oil intake? I am on the diet for 1 month and hadn't been able to ingest much coconut oil. It's not because of healing reactions that I'm afraid of, it's just that I can't stand the taste of it, even the smell of it makes me sick. When I apply it on my body, I don't like the smell either, but it's not as bad as having the coconut oil in my mouth! The biggest amount I had in one day was maybe 3 teaspoons, but there are days when I don't have any. >
Guest guest
I'm not a fan of the taste either. I make the egg drink EVERY morning with A LOT of coconut oil and just gulp it down. I figure I can hold my breath for 10 seconds and not have to worry about it. lol I also cook almost every meal with it. With things like meat or scrambled eggs I dont think you can really taste it and it lets me get it into DH and the kids On Tue, Apr 6, 2010 at 2:18 PM, Moyre <moyre_03@...> wrote: > > > Can someone tell me how to increase my coconut oil intake? Guest guest
For those of you having issues with the taste of Coconut Oil... This one has little, if any coconut flavor and is approved for use on this program:. http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/expeller-pressed_coconut_oil.htm I just got a gallon of the Nutiva Raw coconut oil and it has a coconut flavor but it's very, very mild. Guest guest
I'm from Europe, so I can't order those. I'm not from UK either, considering that the major natural health suppliers in Europe are from UK... The coconut oil that I have is from NOW Foods. > > > > My kids can smell me cooking with it, so there goes fooling them..... > > >
Guest guest
Hi Ina, Where do you live? It is perhaps possible for you ask someone in your country about where they buy their coconut oil. If you want, make a post with your country and coconut oil in the subject line. There are a lot of us here in Europe that can perhaps help you. Guest guest
Hi , I'm from Romania and I buy my coconut oil online, and the only brand that I've found is from NOW. I doubt people in my country are so health concerned or have heard of the health benefits of coconut oil; if there are some, they're not consuming it in large quantities, so I don't find CO sold by the gallon here. If I order it from UK, I think the shipping will be way too pricey. I'm having a hard time finding supplements too, here. For anyone who is having the Egg Drink, I haven't introduce it in the diet yet, cause of the taste, and also because I don't know how that can be considered a meal. Is it satiable? I mean I just drink it and it satiates me for a few hours? I need something to chew in my mouth On a side note, if butter would've had the healing/anti-fungal properties of coconut oil, I would be the happiest person, cause I can eat tons of butter! > > Hi Ina, > > Where do you live? Guest guest
Hi Ina, I don't know about Romania, but I seem to remember that Marisa in Greece also buys her coconut oil online. Maybe she can help you. I'm in Sweden and I order my coconut oil online through a company here in Sweden. They don't sell it by the gallon, either, but I buy it anyway. I order my supplements online through iHerb (in the US). There is a link on Bee's website and if you use her code, she gets credit for your purchases. They only charge $4 for shipping, which is quite reasonable to me since all of the supplements here are almost twice the price as what iHerb charges and they contain bad ingredients. If you make the Egg Drink with some stevia and vanilla, it tastes quite good! It can be considered a full meal, but you could also have it in addition to some food that you can chew. The more eggs and fat you include in the Egg Drink, the more filling it will be. Just be aware that it might also cause healing reactions. It can satisfy hunger for a quite a long time, though. Butter does have healing properties to it as well, so feel free to eat as much butter as you want [or can tolerate]. Guest guest
I take a tablespoon in my morning and afternoon cup of Tcino, which is a really tasty coffee substitute, with quite a few drops of stevia. I cook with it whenever my 14-year-old isn't around (he hates the stuff). And last, if I'm really hungry I take a tablespoon of coconut oil, put it in a small bowl, and sprinkle cinnamon on it. The coconut oil really works, because immediately after beginning the coconut oil, my digestive system regulated, and continues to be on track. Hope this helps, Debra > > Can someone tell me how to increase my coconut oil intake? I am on the diet for 1 month and hadn't been able to ingest much coconut oil. Guest guest
Hi Debra, Can you tell me what exactly is Tcino? What is it made from? I would love to have a cup of a healthy coffee substitute. Guest guest
I spelled it wrong. It's teeccino. I'm sure you can find it online. > > > > I take a tablespoon in my morning and afternoon cup of Tcino, which is a really tasty coffee substitute, with quite a few drops of stevia.
