Guest guest
Hi ! I should probably let Bee or one of the moderators respond first, but PLEASE read this, I was so sold after reading myself, and I wanted to share - got to this site from Bee's but can't seem to retrace my steps from there. Thank goodness for the History option under Favorites! http://www.lierrekeith.com/vegmyth.htm " The Vegetarian Myth " Lierre address the environmental impact of a vegetarian diet in our modern day culture... wholistic view to help address your doubts. Guest guest
Hi , As a former vegetarian, I can totally relate to what you are saying. For me, it literally came down to either them (the animals) or me. And since I had a young child to take care of, I made the decision that it had to be me. When you feel like you're on death's doorstep, it's amazing the new perspectives you can have. If farming was done properly - the way it was done a couple of hundred years ago - there would be less impact on the environment, so blame factory farms and Big Business who stand to gain from depleting the environment and only support small, local (hopefully organic) farmers. I understand your struggle with this. Thank the animals for their lives and try to make it okay for you. All the best, (a group moderator) > > I think another one of the things that makes me lose faith in this diet, and I think it has been addressed already to some extent, is the high reliance on animal products. > > I can understand that even plants are alive and that I have to kill SOMETHING in order to survive.
