Guest guest
Hi there, My 2 year old daughter has been showing signs of eczema for the past 2 months. Within the past weeks it has gotten worse. It is located on the back of her hands, behind her knees, and on the tops of her feet. I'm a bit confused if this is yeast related because there are no other symptoms going on with her. I did the yeast intake questionnaire and she scored only 20. I took it too b/c I'm still nursing her and mine was 56...in the 10th percentile. So, according to this yeast in our life seems very small. On the other hand, I don't follow the diet to a T. I do it about 80-90% with occasional treats from time to time. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas if this might simply be an allergic reaction (which is a healing reaction, right?) and I just ride it out?, do i consider it yeast and go on the diet hard core?, get rid of our cat?, perhaps it's a flare up from all the dry air in this winter season and i need a humidifier?, etc... I am putting oil of oregano mixed with coconut oil on her skin and have started some homeopathic remedies. Thanks for any input, Janelle
Guest guest
Hi Janelle, It sounds to me that as you have consumed better food, she is also getting quality breast milk and likely better foods, too, which is causing her to get rid of some toxins through her skin. So, yes, she is having a healing reaction. I suggest following the diet a little more closely for a few months so her body can strengthen even further and get rid those toxins. Also, by following the diet more closely, she will not be ingesting more toxins that will need to be detoxified. You can continue to put coconut oil on it. The oil of oregano might make it a bit worse, even if it is diluted. But if it doesn't bother her, it's ok to use. In time, it will clear up. Hang in there!
