Supps and absorption...

Hi Bee,

I began calcium citrate/magnesium supp's back in Oct (didnt find your site til

Jan) b/c a hair analysis showed I was deficient. A recent test showed I had

barely absorbed any of the supps, despite 3 months of taking supp's.

Is it better to cut the capsules in half, and drink the powder in liquid (I have

ordered both in the powder form now). Are they more absorble as powder for

someone with malabsorption issues?

Thanks,

Hi ,

Please do not rely on a hair analysis or any other kind of lab tests. Minerals

require so many other nutrients in order to be absorbed and utilized which

aren't tested.

Ensure you are taking the correct amounts of omega 3 and vitamins A & D found in

cod liver oil which help absorption.

Powdered supplements are easier to absorb than tablets. If you mix powdered

minerals in water they will settle to the bottom, so just put them in a spoon,

add a little water, and down it, chased by water.

Cheers, Bee
