Guest guest
Hi Bee, I haven't posted on here in a while. I hope you've been well, and happy 2010! Please refresh my memory as to how long it takes to heal thyroid. I started daily medication in Oct. 1997 (although looking back, I probably had thyroid/adrenal symptoms for many years before that) and started transitioning onto this diet in April of last year. (I'd eliminated gluten, dairy, soy, and other items a while before that.) I was mostly on the diet by around mid-May. So...how many months would this translate into, in terms of when I might expect to start reducing thyroid meds and when I would eliminate them completely? With the desiccated thyroid fiasco of the past several months (I had to switch meds 3 times, and went through a time of feeling horrible as a result--highly stressful, to say the least), I will be SO happy to not have to rely on these meds (and tests, prescriptions, drs, pharmacies, pharma companies, etc.) anymore!! Take care, Judy
