Heh, the human psyche, you gotta love it.

My original post was two lines, not counting signature and tag.

One line was ON TOPIC about the dangers of concentrated H2O2.

The other a reference to the " keep your guard up " times we live in.

The " FREE CHOICE " attention of the participants in the resulting

thread, has been entirely on the OFF TOPIC, " TONGUE-IN-CHEEK " other

line.

Not a WORD about the topic of the post.

(must be a girl thing).

Even after telling her that the objectionable? comment was

tongue-in-cheek, Sherri says to Gail:

> I am glad you are so sure Chuck was joking, I had no way

>to know this and he still hasn't said he was joking, so I only have your

>word for it.

So, it appears that she is CHOOSING to stay offended.

Can't do a thing about it, wouldn't want to.

As " Seth " says, " you create your own reality " .

BTW, what about the ON TOPIC part of the post?

I see no comment about the " dangers of concentrated H202.

I see your so called tongue in cheek humour and a statement (although

incorrect) that H202 is rocket fuel.

Here is some info on rocket fuel for you:

http://quest.arc.nasa.gov/mars/ask/miscellany/Composition_of_Rocket_Fuel

QUESTION:

I would like to know what rocket fuel is made of?

ANSWER from on December 17, 1996:

There are two main types of rocket fuel, liquid and solid fuel.

Liquid fuel can be of several kinds like liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen,

liquid oxygen and kerosene, or hydrazine and nitrogen tetroxide, plus

others.

Solid fuel is a composite mixture of usually ammonium perchlorate and

aluminum, or sometimes simple black powder.

So if you want to address the " on topic " line, I think you are incorrect.

100% H202 is not rocket fuel. Happy?

Now onto the other line. If it was a joke, so be it. I don't think it was

funny and in this day and age I think it is in bad taste to be joking about

calling and ratting people out to the Gestapo for anything. Telling me it

was a joke doesn't make it any funnier to me. It just wasn't funny no matter

how you dress it up.

As for your " must be a girl thing " line, I suppose you are going to say that

was another joke. Seems to me that some people use humour as a way to get

away with saying any offensive and insulting things they can think of, then

they act like the offended party is in some way wrong for feeling how they

feel.

People feel offended around offensive behaviour, that is just the way of the

civilized world.

Again, Uhhhh... here's some info on hydrogen peroxide as rocket fuel:

http://www.abc.net.au/science/news/stories/s63460.htm

partial transcript:

Hydrogen peroxide differs from water only in that it contains two

oxygen atoms. It might be used to replace conventional oxidizers, such

as liquid oxygen, nitrogen tetroxide and ammonium perchlorate, which

are needed to burn rocket fuels.

Unlike the chemist's version of hydrogen peroxide, which is about 97

percent water, the rocket-propulsion variety has the opposite mix: 3

percent water and 97 percent hydrogen peroxide with critical

contaminants removed.

This purified, concentrated form of H2O2 is broken down with chemical

catalysts, yielding oxygen that combusts with alcohol-based fuels,

such as methanol or ethanol. " Such a propulsion system would provide

an inexpensive alternative to today's nonrenewable hydrocarbon fuels

that are processed from crude oil, " Heister said.

Breaking down peroxide not only would provide oxygen for combustion

but also would produce steam, an important byproduct that could be

used to run a turbine to generate electricity, Heister said.

Beal Aerospace Technologies in Texas is planning to develop a

complete, three-stage launch vehicle that uses hydrogen peroxide as an

oxidizer. Its first-stage engine would be the largest rocket engine

ever built, producing more than three million pounds of thrust.

Meanwhile, NASA and the Air Force are working to develop lower-cost

rocket engines using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizer.

Rusek, an assistant professor of aeronautics and astronautics, is

trying to develop a high-efficiency fuel cell that generates

electricity from hydrogen peroxide and aluminum, a device that could

replace conventional batteries.

Thanks for the info. It doesn't support your claim however simply because it

is all talking about H202 as a rocket fuel in the future. It isn't done yet,

but in the experimental stages. Theory. Hypothesis. Not complete. So your

statement would have been more accurate if you had said that 100% H202 is

being developed into rocket fuel, sometime in the future... maybe.

You put things out to bait people? Now there is the kind of " coming

Yes, I agree with Sharon. Let's drop it. I'm not on any other groups and

have not seen Chuck posting on this group that I can recall offhand but I

did know, immediately and without a doubt, that it was just his sense of

humor coming out when he posted that comment and nothing more. I also do

not think Chuck is responsible for how it may have made some of you feel.

You may or may not appreciate someones sense of humour but, in a group like

this, you just have understand that you're going to come across alot of

different styles of humor and you just can't be that sensitive.

No maybe about it.

Here is more HISTORY:

http://www.peroxidepropulsion.com/article/2

Hydrogen peroxide has been used in many applications for propulsion

and power generation in the last 60 years.

WW II

Its first major use was by the German Luftwaffe during Word War II. In

1936 Helmuth Walters´ Walterwerke developed a 1000 kgf hydrogen

peroxide propelled ATO (= Auxiliary Take Off) rocket engine for the

Heinkel He 176. This first engine was a cold monopropellant rocket

engine using injection of calciumpermanganate solution as a

decomposition catalyst. 80% conc. H2O2 was used.

Shortly after this, the same company supplied the rocket engine to the

Messerschmidt Me 163B Komet. This engine was a hot bipropellent rocket

engine. 80% conc. H2O2 was used as the oxidizer. As the organic liquid

fuel a mixture called " C-Stoff " was used. It contained hydrazine

hydrate and methyl alcohol. C-Stoff was self-igniting (aka

hypergolic), so no other decomposition catalyst was needed in this

engine.

Probably the most well-known application of H2O2 during WW II was in

the V2-rocket for the turbo-pump gas generator.

Hydrogen peroxide was used in several other applications by the

Germans, like in submarines and torpedos, but the most frequently used

device was a catapult operated on 80-85% H2O2 and calciumpermanganate

solution. Several hundreds of these catapults were produced and each

catapult was used many times.

Post WW II - 1980's

Many different peroxide propulsion projects were launched in UK, USA

and in the Soviet Union after WWII.

The most successful development were probably the English Black

Knight/Black Arrow projects. These were rocket engines produced by

Rolls Royce. The concept was based on the bipropellant principle.

83-87% H2O2 was used as the oxidizer. In the early stages of the

English projects the hydrogen peroxide was still produced in Germany!

Later on the English company La Porte took over the production. The

H2O2 was decomposed on a silver wire mesh catalyst and kerosene was

used as the organic fuel.

The United State Air Force and the Marines used H2O2 propelled engines

after WWII. The standard rocket grade H2O2 in the US had a

concentration of 90%.

General Electric produced a Hybrid Rocket Engine. The H2O2 was

decomposed on a silver mesh catalyst and the organic solid fuel was

polyethylene.

When jet engines were developed after the war, the peroxide propulsion

rocket engines in the field of jet aviation became obsolete.

In the field of space exploration, other fuels with a higher specific

impulse replaced hydrogen peroxide. These new systems were much more

complicated and expensive. They were in many cases also poisonous or

cancerogenic or harmful to the environment. At that time in history,

these things were less important than winning the cold war and the

race to the moon!

The only military field in which peroxide propulsion survived the cold

war was as torpedo engines.

Regular production of rocket grade hydrogen peroxide stopped in the US

in the middle of the 1980's.

Even if the use in the military sector and in space declined, a couple

of very interesting and fascinating uses were developed during this

time period that are still in use, even if they are yet not wide

spread:

* One is the Personal Rocket Belt, developed by Wendell at Bell

Aircraft Company. US Patent 3021095. One version of this back pack

rocket was flying at the opening cermony of the Los Angeles Olympic

Games 1984. This event has etched itslef into many peoples minds! For

the general public it is by far the best known application of hydrogen

peroxide rocket technology.

* The other application is the rotor tip rocket for helicopters,

developed by Gilbert W Magill and others. US Patent 4473199.

These patents have expired at this time. If you want to read them, go

here and punch in " US " and the patent number.

1990's - present

The good news are that hydrogen peroxide has seen a great deal of

renewed interest in the 1990s. There are many reasons for this. Most

important I believe is its minimal environmental impact, simplicity of

handling and lower cost. Since 1998 there have been six (!)

International Hydrogen Peroxide Propulsion Conferences. Civil

scientists and organizations like ESA, NASA and Russian organizations

cooperate openly and peacefully in the field.

Great thanks for the info to verify your claim. I stand corrected. This

could have been a much more enjoyable exchange had you just decided to not

be snide through out it.

My statement was and is correct!

Actually the acid in the stomach doesn't bother it much.  If that was the case

everything we injested wouldn't go into our blood stream and organs.  Acids in

the stomach kills the bad stuff.  Hydrogen Peroxide therapy stimulate the

movement of oxygen atoms from the

bloodstream to the cells to a greater degree than is usually reached by other

means. With higher levels of oxygen in the tissues, bacteria and viruses are

killed along with

defective tissue cells; normal cells survive and multiplymore

rapidly; and the result is a healthier body.

Seems from what I have researched the H202 will be disolved before it even gets

into the stomach let alone small intestine. So looks like the only way for it to

be active would be a capsule that would disolve after it has passed the

stomach.. Just wondering..

I understand but the chemistry indicates once H202 comes into contact with body

fluid ( esophagus etc..) it turns into H20. So not doubting the efacy of H202

but wonder if there is a better delivery method. Have read that enema is better

to get the H202 where it needs to go.

Several elements like Chlorine can alter the chemical chain to turn it from H2O2

to H2O but not stomach acid.   It depends what is aerobic or anaerobic.  Some

foods we eat have bad bacteria in them that's what gets destroyed.  Not the good

bacterias and not H2O2.  H2O2 enemas are also very helpful.  I know many people

who benefit from those as well.  I'm looking to trying that next month.  I

personally spoke to a doctor that injects H2O2 through IV and he told me H2O2 is

the best thing you could give to your body.  He also told me white blood cells

have been proven use H2O2 to kill viruses and bacterias.

What do you mean you got " thrush " ?  I did get flu like symptoms for a while.

According to the protocol you're supposed to get these symptoms when your body

begins the healing process.  It only lasted for 2 days.  Recently my skin has

been dry (I'm keeping it moist with aloe) and my scalp has been dry (treating it

with Coconut oil) I sent out an e-mail to several places to get an answer to why

my skin was acting like this and I got a response from someone who is an expert

in Healing, this is what she had to say....

Don,

Sounds like the DIE-OFF reaction is taking place. You can try exfoliating your

skin to help expedite the healing. Be patient, if you are like the rest of us,

it will take time for everything to surface.  Happy Healing, Hugs, Penny
