Guest guest
What is the O probiotics? I thought probiotics were all the same. Is there a different one for the different blood groups. Guest guest
Carol, There are probably other good brands besides the Maximum Milk Thistle, but for me, since it is an 80 mile round trip to the nearest health food store, ordering the Maximum Milk Thistle is very convenient. You can only get it over the internet, I think. It's not sold in any stores that I know of. I get it from http://www.liversupport.com. It is shipped automatically every 3 months, so I don't even have to remember to order it! I tried Thistlyn too, and it is good, but again, that 80 mile trip... I think it was a bit more expensive too, can't remember. Claudine __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I I read about you having to drive 80 miles to get Milk Thistle, you can get it at your grocery store if it has a pharmacy in it,or vitamins, that's where I get mine from, , and it's allot cheaper than healthfood stores. Guest guest
Well, the closest grocery store that sells it is a 30 mile round trip, lol. I haven't looked into what brands they sell though. There is a Walmart, only 16 mile round trip, and that is where I used to get mine. And what they sold was pretty cheap, but I never felt like it was doing anything for me. My blood tests also showed no change while I was on that. I feel better since I have been on the Maximum Milk Thistle, so even though it is more expensive than the Walmart stuff, I will stick to it. Besides, you just can't beat having it delivered right to your door, and NOT having to remember to order it or go get it before you run out. Guest guest
Thanks Claudine I checked out the site...yes indeed, that is very good Milk Thistle. If I lived in the USA, I would be ordering it like you do. But since I live in Canada and the exchange on the $ and extra shipping costs...well, it's a little over my budget. I checked out what I am taking now...it seems to be ok, it has 80% ActiveSilymarin compound, which seems to be in the acceptable range. It's $13.99 for a month supply...it's 4,500 mg per pill twice a day. I'll stick with this for now...when I get a car, which will be in 2 weeks...I'll check out health stores, there's more I want to get that Tatezi recommended. Thanks again Huggggs Carol claudine intexas wrote: > > Carol, > There are probably other good brands besides the > Maximum Milk Thistle, but for me, since it is an 80 > mile round trip to the nearest health food store, > ordering the Maximum Milk Thistle is very convenient. > You can only get it over the internet, I think. That is what I am doing. It is great! I have a 'subscription', and a three month supply is automatically shipped to me every three months, without me having to remember to order it or anything. It is delivered right to my door by UPS. It's great for us brain-fogged folks! __________________________________________________
Guest guest
There is no proof that herbal stuff will heal his liver nor will it do anything to the HepC. Guest guest
There are tons of people that had hep c that I have given Milk Thistle too. Most people here are against natural remedies. They say the herbs are not proven which is true in the United states but in other countries these are used as drugs and are proven. I do suggest reading and looking into all of these things though before you decide to take them. The very best thing you can do is educate yourself about every aspect of this disease and any medication rather it be natural or a drug. Doctors aren't always the smartest about everything. There are many many books about hep c and natural therapies written by doctors who have actually had hep c.

Feel free to contact me anytime I am always willing to try to help.

Good Luck!!
Amber

Guest guest
On a web site, I heard that milk thistle among other things can help get rid of hep c. Milk thistle was one of the main items on that list, but there were a few items that are rare and expensice, but some have gotten rid of it! I will look out for the site! Guest guest
<arie, You are not alone in your experience. Milk Thistle will keep the enzymes at a normal level, which can lead to false information. The only thing that milk thistle, or any other herb, does is help manage the symptoms. Milk Thistle is known to mask the true indicators. Also, normal liver enzymes do not mean no liver damage, as you found out. I'm sorry this happened to you. It happens to so many people who actually believe that it helps the liver. LeighAnn
Guest guest
I don't know about possible interactions with meds, you should check with your doctor on that, but Milk Thistle is an herb and should be available at any decent vitamin shop in your area. > > I am trying to loose weight and I am not loosing at all.
