Guest guest
Hi, I'm preparing to go on the candida diet soon, and in the mean time have increased my fats, and have decreased carbs. I'm eating more meat and eggs now, and eating lots of raw cultured butter, plus maybe a T. or two of coconut oil per day. My kidneys are hurting and I'm almost sure I have an infection. My concern is that I don't want to harm myself with the increase in fat and protein. Also a lot of sources say that kidney problems can stem from eating a diet high in animal fats and protein?? I'm thinking I read somewhere that animal fats were good for healing the kidneys, but don't know where I read that now. I need encouragement.... am I overdoing it? Thanks, Rhoda. Are you sure it is your kidneys, or could it be your adrenals which sit just above the kidneys? +++Also, have you ever had similar symptoms previously, or had kidney infection? It is totally false that high animal fats and protein cause kidney problems. If that were true the Eskimos and Masai tribe that Dr. Price researched would have been unhealthy since they consumed only animal meats and fats, yet they were two of the healthiest groups of people on Earth. Also I eat high animal fats and protein and I've never had any kidney issues of any kind. If they were a problem members of this group wouldn't be able to improve their health like they are doing - see these many Success Stories for proof: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php Remember that all of the nutrients on this program work together, and that is why it gets such great results. Here's the article on kidney health and saturated fats: http://www.westonaprice.org/Saturated-Fats-and-the-Kidneys.html All the best, Bee
Guest guest
> > Hi Rhoda, > I had kidney pain at the beginning of the diet. It's mostly gone now. Once I introduced ghee it has been less, so I really don't think animal fats would have anything to do with hurting kidneys. Maybe too much protein..but you usually wouldn't eat too much meat if you're getting enough fats. +++Hi Natalia. Please do not suggest too much protein would be a problem! If it were the Eskimos and Masai tribe Dr. Price researched would have had kidney problems, but they didn't since they were totally healthy. It could very well be my adrenals, as I get the sharp pains when I'm at work. I'm manager of my parents food business, till they get back from Florida and we are very busy and it's extremely demanding. > > +++Also, have you ever had similar symptoms previously, or had kidney infection? Yes, I had a kidney infection about nine years ago, and the one symptom I had was pain when taking a deep breath. I have that again, which is why I suspected another kidney infection. > > It is totally false that high animal fats and protein cause kidney problems. If that were true the Eskimos and Masai tribe that Dr. Price researched would have been unhealthy since they consumed only animal meats and fats, yet they were two of the healthiest groups of people on Earth. My thoughts exactly, just needed to be reminded again. Sometimes the nutritional education(vegetarian) I had eleven years ago wants to rise up in my weak moments. Bought a nourishing traditons cookbook around nine years ago, and have never looked back. > > Also I eat high animal fats and protein and I've never had any kidney issues of any kind. > > If they were a problem members of this group wouldn't be able to improve their health like they are doing - see these many Success Stories for proof: > http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php > > Remember that all of the nutrients on this program work together, and that is why it gets such great results. > > Here's the article on kidney health and saturated fats: > http://www.westonaprice.org/Saturated-Fats-and-the-Kidneys.html > > All the best, Bee Thanks so much Bee! >
