Vitamin C and E

Hi Bee,

I just wanted to clarify exactly how much Vit. C and E I'm supposed to be

taking.  I just bought the Natural Factors Vit. C and it's 90 capsules, 500

mg. The directions say to take 1 per day.  Your website mentions to work on

taking up to 4000 mg per day which would be 8 capsules, and then I saw in the

menus section written by one of your moderators that she took 1000mg in the

morning and then another 1000 mg in the afternoon.  Do I take a certain amount

for the first few months and then when my candida gets better reduce the

amount?  I’m also wondering how Vitamin C and E supplements work to help

with healing, and if its okay to take with meals.

Thanks very much,

++Hi . How much to take is in this handy chart:

Yes, it is always best to take supplements with complete meals that contain

protein and fats since all of the nutrients work together.

You shouldn't take months to get up to the total amounts. You can take all of

the vitamin E right away.

But start on low amounts of vitamin C and slowly increase them until you are

taking a total of 4,000 mg per day. If you start on high amounts they can make

your stools loose. If you do it slowly your body will be gradually become more

saturated with vitamin C so you don't get loose stools.

The best, Bee
