The tomatoes are not dried, but I don't think they're fresh. They are cut up like the tomatoes you would get in a can. If that is the case, they would processed in the same that canned tomatoes would. But instead of being put into a can, they are put into a Tetra-Pak (like a juice box). My guess is that is talking about tomatoes sold in asceptic packaging (also like a juice box). If the ingredients in those packed tomatoes, the processing and the packaging itself isn't toxic you will be okay.
