Guest guest
Ah, getting philosophical. Must be in the air... I hope my post does not offend anyone...just remember that these are my feelings and my opinions and not meant to offend but to give a different outlook on the post below. Why do people say " he/she passed " or " he/she crossed over? " Passed to where....crossed over to where? Who are we in this universe to determine that death is the end...that there is no feeling, no pain. Ah yes...it's one of the doctrines the church have tried to embed into us. There is no scientific proof that one dies and is gone forever, Are all the people who authentically receive messages from those who have crossed over fakes? People who go to them and receive messages through them that the " medium " (don't know what other word to use but I dislike medium), hear things that there is no way the " medium " could ever know. There is also no scientific proof that we do cross over and are reborn at another time and place. But yet, what about all the people who through hypnosis and other methods do go back to past lives. Can anyone say for sure that it is a sham? And what about those feelings so many people have of deja vu...feelings that you have been in some place before, that you have done the same thing before...when you have no memories of it during this lifetime. The shell that is our body dies...there is no doubt about that. But we are not flesh, bones, blood....our spirits are energy and we and all other creatures and people are made up of that same energy. So because the flesh and bones dies, does that mean that the energy just disappears? Who taught us to fear death? In the olden times (milleniums ago) there is no evidence that has ever be unearthed that our ancestors feared death. And what about Irish wakes...they go back to ancient times, to the days of the Celts and before. They celebrate death, well nowadays they celebrate that person's life but that is the Christian influence. But in ancient times it was a celebration of that person moving on to a more spiritual plane. There is evidence of this in most cultures and civilizations. And how do we know that before birth we feel nothing. There are many theorists who believe that we chose the family in which we are to be born for the lessons we need to learn to move on to a higher spiritual plane. The ancient Celts believed that when our bodies die we " cross over " or " pass through " to Summerland. An idealic isle where one awaits rebirth. Ah, but these are pagan beliefs and the church cannot allow pagan beliefs because then we might not obey their rules. Who is this one god who has dimmed the belief in many gods and goddesses that existed long before the Chritians came into being. A male god who is superior to all...a male god who demands that womyn be lesser beings...a male god who demands that unless one follows his rules, one will be damned forever...a god who say's that it's his way or no way. Faith is an integral part of our lives and our spirituality. But are all the Buddists, Hindu's, Pagans, Muslims, etc. damned because their faith follows a different path. I don't think so. Some of the holiest people who have lived have not believed in the Christian God. Do we negate the teachings of Buddha? Do we negate the teaching of Krishna? How about Allah? No, I believe all gods are one god and that no one god is supreme and better than the other gods. I believe in our Mother Earth and the gifts she gives us. I believe in compassion, forgiveness, respect for all living beings...does that mean because I don't believe in this Christian god I am damned. I don't think so. Look at all the representatives of the christian god who are getting busted for molesting children. Why hasn't that come out before...because, as proven by the most recent case, it was hidden by the higher church officials, those officials who claim to represent the one and only god. That doesn't seem very christian to me...to allow abuse of children and hide it so no one knows that the representatives of god are only humyn after all. I have a neighbor, a very devout Catholic who believes that I am very christian because I care for other people and creatures. In that context I would have to agree...the teachings of Christ have little to do with what the Church represents. Treasure this life and the lessons you learn...I do not believe that after the vessel that is our body dies, we just disappear. And heaven and hell...well, where is the scientific proof? To me death means that I have learned the lessons I needed to learn in this life in order to prepare me spiritually for my next life. Guest guest
About 18 years ago, I wrestled with the idea of my mortality. I asked my mother-in-law about it , who was well into her old age at the time. She is still alive today. I think she said it best when she said no one gets off this earth alive, and, heck, what can we really do about it anyway? Don't waste your time worrying about the inevitable. Be happy now and be as kind and sincere as you can. That is all we can really ever do. And as far as the HCV, well, I had a shocker with that diagnosis. But, heck, I could always go to the mailbox and get run over by a drunk tomorrow! Never take advantage of the time you have left. The divine gives us " all the time there is " . Don't worry, be happy. Have peace of mind and do the best you can in everything.... Well, that's my two cents worth anyway! Edie 48 week combo survivor, 4 weeks post-tmt..... Good for you for not cheating!! Hooray! That is not candida you are seeing, since candida is way to small to be seen in the stools. What you are seeing is mucus which your body forms to get rid of toxins. You cannot kill off or " get rid of candida " in order to cure it anyway. When your immune system becomes strong enough it will " make " candida " change back " into the normal microbe it was before it started overgrowing. All the best, Bee
