Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, I had noticed heart palpitations in the last 3 months but knew from our group that this is common on the healing journey. Recently I decided to check my resting heart rate which has been 56-60 my whole life and it was 88. I reread your article on How to Help your Thyroid with Virgin coconut oil and noticed a testimony of a woman who went from 49 to 88 and said she settled at 66. What she doesn't say is how long this took. I think my pulse has been high for at least a month or two before I took my pulse. My question is approximately how long does it take for it to settle out? +++Hi June. I can't say how long it will take your body to normalize its pulse rate, since it would be different timing for each person. All I can say is: " It takes as long as it takes. " Also twice I have had short term incidences where I have shooting pains and pressure in my head and the back of my neck and burning in the back of my neck. One time I was woken from sleep and the other time I was having sex. They only last 20 minutes or so, but leave me with a dull headache and a feeling like there is something wrong in my body. The back of my neck is perpetually sore and I frequently feel on the verge of a headache but don't get a full blown one. +++I believe that is caused by toxins, which often like to settle in the neck, shoulders and up into the head. Apply a mixture of oil of oregano 5o/50 with olive oil and apply it to your neck; then put hot packs over it to help with pain and relax the muscles. Also do this exercise: Pull your shoulders into your head like a turtle pulling its head into its shell, by tightening up all of your neck and shoulder muscles; once they are very very tight, hold it for a bit and then slowly slowly relax. > > You mention in your article that as we incorporate nourishing nutrients to the thyroid, we should watch for signals that our thyroid is beginning to improve such as rapid heart beat and a rise in body temp. Dr Frahm addresses these symptoms as a " healing crisis " > I am very excited about this since I have always had a very low pulse and low thyroid function. It is amazing to me that at 61 this is taking place in my body. +++That's wonderful June! > > My concern is with the short term shooting pains and pressure in my head that feel like high blood pressure, although I am not sure what the symptoms of high blood pressure are. If you could shed some light on this I would very much appreciate it. +++Shooting pains can be due to nerves being traumatized and affected by toxins, and they also occur when nerves are waking up and becoming more healthy. +++The pressure in your head can also be due to toxins, and we know candida produces many, most of which are alcohol which affect the head just like alcohol consumption does. Since it comes and goes I wouldn't be concerned about it. All the best, Bee
