all you can, but Don't GET THEM. We ALL have had them and are

suffering TERRIBLY in many ways healthwise. READ ALL THE POSTS IN

HERE, and as much as you can about them and you will see why not.

Do NOT get them!! There is more and more studies being done proving that implants are dangerous to a woman's health. The implantation surgery is painful, and often women develop health problems shortly after implantation, but usually months to yrs after. I have had several major surgeries, including open heart surgery, and implant surgery is by far the most painful!! I kid you not!

Think twice before you leap, and read the posts on here as well as other websites before you make any decision.

Sincerely,

,

I hope you will do some serious research and stick around this

support group for a little while and read and look at the archives,

check out some links, study, and really think long and hard before

you get implants. I know how excited I was about getting them and how

no one really could have talked me out of it, but I hope you will

reconsider. If not, make sure you really know all the facts before

you make such a life altering decision.

Michele, stay with this group for a while and read everything you can get your hands on about implants. They are not safe--please love yourself as you are!! Take your time and become well informed on the subject. My best to you- Phyllis:-) Silicone implants--replaced with saline due to rupture---explanted salines this past September.

Hi ,

I want to answer your questions. I know that the other ladies have warned

you (appropriately) against getting implants, and I will do the same thing,

because I have experienced the devastation of my health due to " safe " saline

implants, just like they have. But I know that you would like answers to

your questions anyway, so I will answer them quickly.

It took me about two weeks to get over the pain of the implantation surgery,

and it was very, very painful. I had never been in so much pain before. I

liked my saline implants when I first got them, of course, because finally I

was proud of my breasts instead of being ashamed of them, and it made such a

huge difference in how I felt about myself. But in reality, they were just

big fake breasts that were hard and had ripples and didn't feel natural to

the touch. Over time they began to do weird things, like get hot to the

touch, make " squishy " noises, and hurt with sharp, stabbing pains.

In the end, they destroyed my immune system, took away my health, happiness,

joy in life, took away years of nuturing my kids, years from being a

cheerful wife to my husband, took away thousands of dollars, and left me

with scarred up breasts that were smaller than before. Is that something

you could live with if it happened to you? Keep searching until you are

sure of your decision. I am sure you will make a wise one once you know the

truth.

Patty
