Sherri! I can't think of any condition, that the blood type diet would not

benefit. That is the beauty of this program. Eliminate toxins, and the body

will heal itself. The question is? Is he ready to get better. Good luck to

him. love

Boils

Hi!

I have a friend who is an O, but he hasn't yet taken any steps to embrace

the O diet. He has many health problems, and one of them is the hereditary

tendency to have boils. These boils always end up requiring at least an

antibiotic and sometimes surgery.

Does anyone on the list have experience with this? Can the diet impact

this and other skin disorders (he also has cysts)?

Thanks for the information. I'm concerned about his health, and if I can

give him some information, perhaps, maybe, hopefully, he'll make a choice

for better health.

Sherri

I used to get them a lot, Jim, and the doctor cultured the bacteria...mine

come from an aggressive step bacteria (they have been nearly nonexistent since I

had my DS, thank goodness)! Hugs and blessings, Ann

Jim,

We all have Staph aureus on our body. Most is benign. You can get

boils from tight clothes or heat and crevices. I used to get them

in my, uh, private areas when I was in the Army because of the way

the BDUs fit me. Man, they sure hurt! I haven't had one in a long

time.

What kind of soap do you use? I always use antibacterial soap.

Pat, I suggest warm compresses if you ever get one again, much more

comfortable and effective.

We have some friends who's kids (non-DS) have been dealing with boils for a few months. My mom just sent them this info below, since they were looking for ideas to get rid of them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, here is what I would be doing to build the immune systems back up. You would have to adjust the amounts for the different age groups as follows:
12 to 17 years old - reduce to 3/4 the dose
6 to 12 - use 1/2 the amount
under 6 - use 1/4 the amount
This can be safely followed for several weeks:
- Vitamin C - 8,000 mg a day, in divided doses. Back off some if the stools become loose.
- Chlorophyll liquid - 1 tsp. 3x a day
- Garlic caps - 2 cap 3x a day or a few pieces of garlic bread with fresh garlic on it.
- Vitamin A - 75,000 IU
- Vitamin E - 600 IU
- Acidolphilus - follow label directions
- Zinc - 25 mg for all ages a day
- Super Colon Cleanse - 2 caps for older kids and 1 cap for younger kids.
For kids that cannot swallow, we simply open all of the capsules and mix the powder with a small amount of jam. One spoonful and then a drink to chase it down. It's not that bad!
The following teas would be good to drink. All of these can be bought in bulk through SF herbs. I would have the kidos drink at least 2 cups of each kind a week.
Oat Straw - anti-inflammatory
Pau d'arco - antibiotic, helps get rid of toxins and infections
Dandelion - liver cleanser
Red Clover - antibiotic, blood purifier
Topical treatment:
- Mix Goldenseal powder (capsule opened up work great) with honey. Make a paste and apply directly to the boil.
- Onion poultices also have a great abililty to draw out infections.
Here are a few other ideas from other people on a DS message board. I do not know if any of these work but thought I would throw them in.
"Also, I tried something really different a
month or so ago and the boil went down quite dramatically. I soaked a paper
towel in apple cider vinnegar (Braggs) and held it on the area for several
minutes a couple of times in the evening. By morning it was much, much
better and then quickly went away. I will have to try this again to know if
this actually works, but it wouldn't surprise me. Apple cider vinnegar is
amazing. It got rid of ring worm (and another extremely persistant rash my
husband had) like nothing!
Also, as I think of it, I know that pinneapple (you can use rings) soaked in
apple cider vinnegar and then laid over the skin draws out infection
miraculously. I used to do this for mastidous (sp?) and my mother-in-law tried
it recently for a bad infection in her knee following surgery and it worked
wonderfully. So, this might be something worth trying as well.
It is not a good idea to squeeze boils! The infection can spread very
rapidly this way and it can get pushed back into the blood stream as well.
Then you would have a systemic staph infection. Not fun! Jill has some
great ideas for drawing the infection out. The toxin can reside (w/o
manifestation) in our bodies when our immune systems are low. When
something stresses us, like the ant bites, it can come out in boils
(manifestation).
High quality oregano oil will also draw out and kill the staph ( and a
lot of other things). I use Young Living Oils or North American Herb Co.
has a good oregano oil, too. The YLO brand is much more concentrated and
should be diluted w/ olive oil first, so as not to irritate."
Hope some of this helps. Extreme cleanliness, to the point of overboardness, would be a good idea I think, around your house, if you are gong to eradicate this. If I think of more, I'll let you know. Or, if you need ideas for brands of things and/or where to get them, let me know.
Boils
I was talking to two of my friends who have daughters with d.s. and they both have problems with boils under armpits and around buttocks...I remember a thread about this recently...sorry to have not been paying attention!
Neither of them have been able to get a diagnosis, so I thought I would ask if there was one (or more) possible diagnosis AND what the treatment, if any, is.
Thanks!
Hello,
I have a boil in a most inconvenient place, and I would really love to speed up
the healing of that one. I do have another tender spot which feels like it is
the beginning of a boil, but it is not in a troublesome place.
I am putting EVCO on it.
But Is there anything else I can do to help this boil move along quicker?
Thanks in advance
Peace, a
hi
ive tried the ceyanne and didnt get much joy other than upset stomach, as for
garlic i take 5000mg twice a day as i dont really like garlic (do get a strong
after taste), not tried potatoe or tomatoe but will keep those in mind for when
they are in a decent place, what i have been using is turmeric and vicks vapor
rub mixed together on a dressing, the cooling affect is allmost instant and
feels so good but you do need to be careful where it goes as it can be a bit
much in certain places lol, but ive tried lots mashed onion, cabbage, soap milk
and sugar paste, clove oil neat (yes i jumped through the roof lol) sudocrem,
bread and milk, salt tea tree oil and manuka honey, most antiseptic creams on
the market
im hoping once i start drinking the tea that will put an end to candida and the
boils....just need to kill the sugar cravings
smashed tomato is also good.I would eat alot of raw garlic as an antibiotic. The
book " Juicing for Life " is very good, as is Jethro Kloss's book " Back to Eden " .
Herbalists are all going to recomend no meat, white sugar or flour, lots of
herbs & herb teas ....Good luck...
