Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > I had braces about 15 years ago and have worn a retainer just when I sleep since then. I was wondering if you knew of a good way to clean this? Should I let it soak in 50/50 non-chlorinated water and hydrogen peroxide? I've always used over the counter cleaners but now know those are loaded with toxins so would like to try something else. +++Hi . If your retainer doesn't contain metal you can soak it in 50/50 H202 and water - that's what I soak my dentures in. If it contains any metal soak it in baking soda water (not sure how much to use). Guest guest
Hey I wonder if GSE would do it? Anne G
Guest guest
Back when I used to wear my retainer (I've been bad now LOL), I just brushed it with my toothbrush when I cleaned my teeth. At the time, of course, I used toothpaste, but you could try it with your homemade variety or toothsoap too, I imagine. HTH, andra > +++Hi . Guest guest
*** Hi Anne: Bee does not recommend GSE (Grapefruit Seed Extract) for anything because of the chemicals used in processing the GSE. You can find more about this on her website. Marissa > > Hey I wonder if GSE would do it? > > Anne G >
Guest guest
Thanks for bringing that to my attention Marissa, I try to read all of Bee's material...but to no avail I need it in book form... " oh Bee " LOL Maybe next year I could ask Santa for a Net Book. Anne G
