Hi Bee and members,

I'm referring to having to visit Emergency yesterday with a hugely swollen

tongue and difficulty swallowing. My throat started closing up in hospital and

it was the cortisone that brought the situation under control.

I've been on Bee's Programme for 2 weeks now and the hives and angioedema got

progressively worse until it culminated in a 'life threatening' situation.

I want to stay on the Diet though because I 'know' it will improve my health. My

questions are:

Do you think what happened to me yesterday was 'die off'? If I'm the type of

person that detoxifies through the skin then perhaps this is too dangerous for

me? Should I slow down the diet?

I was having Epsom baths, dry skin brushing, taking 3000 mg Vit C every day to

help my body detoxify but the angioedema and hives just got worse. I was only

having 1/2 tsp of CO a day along with 1 tbs butter, eggs, meat, chicken and

vege's. How can I slow the diet down enough so I won't have to suffer so much

with die off?

I know taking drugs just suppresses the healing process but if this happens

again I'm just going to have to take anti-histamines. It seems like I'm stuck

between a rock and a hard place!

Hi Debi,

I know this question was posted a long time ago, but if you're still using this site, I'd love to hear if you ever found an answer to your question. I have angioedema and have often worried about how to deal with this. I do seem to get worse when I do any intensive changes to my diet, and have stopped trying as I am so worried about the negative effects. What happened to you is exactly what I would be afraid of.

Sincerely,

Ashley
