Hi Joe,

What a great idea! I've practically given up peanut butter for the

same reasons. How much VCO do you add? Do you add it to the whole

jar or just to the portion you are eating.

I make my own nut butter - I use mixed nuts, add some sea salt, coconut oil

and coconut cream/paste for sweetness and to thicken.

I decided to make it because of the trans fats and sugar in regular peanut

butter and to have a way to use even more coconut oil.

I don't measure, just dump some of the nuts into your blender/bullet

machine with some oil, and the coconut cream - add more or less oil

depending on the consistency you want.

You can also do this using just peanuts or whatever your favorite nut

is..many like almond butter, especially since peanuts are not good for

thyroid.

natural pb is supposed to separate just mix it back in.

I take my jar of natural peanut butter, use a spatula to scrape it out of

the jar into a bowl.

I take a whisk and mix it together real well, and put back in the jar.

It never separates again. And isn't real dry on the bottom.

I have made my own peanut butter by dry blending cold (refrigerated) raw

peanuts until they literally became a paste. I then heated them and an equal

amount of VCO and a little sea salt to about 110 deg F and blended until

smooth. Then put in fridge to solidify. The texture allowed of easy

spreading. Found if I put on warm toast that it melted

significantly.Wonderful flavour.

I start with a 1 lb of dry roasted peanuts that are blanched. I then place

them in a Champion Juicer. The Champion has an attachment for grinding nut

butters.I then remove part of the peanut oil and replace it with VCO. You can

sweeten it a little if you like .honey or orange juice can be used . I use a

little stevia since I'm a diabetic. You can also add a dash of salt.

I make my " nut " butter with mixed or various nuts, add a little VCO, coconut

cream for sweetness, which is basically ground coconut meat, a little sea

salt and am good to go, just throw it all in the blender or whatever kitchen

appliance you have for grinding/chopping.

Hi Bee and All, Phyllis A. here just back from a 2 week trip to Florida. This

trip was challenging because my sister and her husband and there 2 year old son,

my adorable nephew, eat everything out of a box or bag. I spent most of the vaca

cooking. My sis works they have a beautiful home-top quality material things but

food quality means very little--my nephew has a wart rash on his belly that has

spread-Dr. call is mulluscum or something like that- he's had many antibiotics

in his little life along with tubes in ears. I pray hard for them. Bee,I had a

lot of time to read...Eat Fat, Lose Fat was great. Ok, I'm on your program 2

months now and progress is happening. I do not have a problem staying away from

sugar and for that I feel blessed. However, I love peanut butter! In the back of

the book, the 2 authors recommend 4 diff types. What do you think of this-is

this possible after we are healed? Why would they give 4 choices if is is so

toxic? Bee I trust your advice and I know you talk about peanuts and pistachios

containing mold. Just looking for your thoughts. I allowed myself a cheat on my

vaca and it was...pnut butter(one of their recommendations) Luv, Phyllis A.

Hi, Phyllis.

There is a sunbutter made solely of sunflower seeds (nothing added), & it tastes

like peanut butter. However, the seeds are probably not soaked & dried prior to

processing into butter. But I understand that sunflower seeds don't contain the

mycotoxins as peanuts do, so maybe the sunbutter is less harmful than the peanut

butter. I'm sure Bee will let us know.
