Guest guest
What kind of dangers are associated with candling? I can see maybe someone starting a fire if they don't attend it diligently or maybe let a piece of the burnt stuff fall on someone's face or neck, but other then that, what other dangers are left??? --- If the ear candle is held wrong (too perpendicular) or burned too long (to the point of burning the ear wax that is coming out), the toxins can go right back into the ear along with the wax from the candle. If you have a wet paper towel handy, you can extinguish the flame with it when the candle is burned about halfway down, clean out the candle, and then light it again. When you start to burn ear wax again or the candle is 1 1/2 " use the wet paper towel to extinguish the flame again. The wet paper towel is much safer than blowing burning ashes. Another safety tip aside from the paper plate with the hole in the middle is to put a towel over the " patient's " head, wrapped around the candle. Some candles I've used shoot quite a flame and some drop large ashes. You just need to be prepared. Have a great day! Kathleen son jacobson@... If you're going to do, get someone who knows what they are doing. Being on a cleansing diet will also eventually clear your ears. Guest guest
Hi Kathleen Just a question: What angle is the candle supposed to be, and does the tip touch the ear or not? Thanks Mam in FLA
Guest guest
Ear candling can be used for other reasons than ear wax. I use them when I have been doing lots of mental work and my head feels " full " . I also use them when I need to clear trapped emotional energy. They work on all three levels. By using essential oils to massage the lymph glands in the neck at the same time, you can open energetically different areas. I have been using candles on my clients for over 4 years, even on my teenagers. They ask for it because it works so well. Vicki
Guest guest
Hi Deb and whomever else, We have a food co-op that carries health aids such as ear candles. Some candles use paraffin, others use beeswax (burns hotter--more effective for a lot of ear wax), some have herbs added that typically help those prone to ear infection (the herb combo usually has eucalyptus and/or echinacea--the latter is on our avoid list). One of the pariffin candles uses lavendar for its relaxing effect. Our co-op carries Wally's Ear Candles and they are priced $2.50-3 each or 4 pack is around $10. If you can't find them where you are, write me and I'll give you contact info for our co-op. They do mail to customers if requested. I wish you well. Your situation must be really debilitating at times. Kathleen in Minnesota Re: Ear CandlingWhat kind of candle do you use? A birthday candle or an 8 inch taper, or is there some special one to buy like from a health food store?deb in New Orleans

Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, ?You will only receive the posts from the date/time you changed to individual email... Any posts before that time will not be sent to you. Hope that helps. LnL, Steve - Cheltenham, UK Can anyone tell me why I don't get all the posts? I changed to get individual messages because the digest I used to receive only came once per day and could be confusing. Now about half of the messages I receive are in reference to messages posted that I never received...such as the one that was written to me about ear candling. Any ideas? Kathleen jacobson@... Guest guest
> > Bee, > > Do you know of any dangers of doing ear candling when you have clogged ears? Thank you. > +++Hi . The question is, are your ears clogged by wax buildup, or are they filling up with fluid or mucus? Ear candling is usually done for wax buildup, which I wouldn't recommend for many reasons; the chance of catching your hair on fire is only one. Why bother anyway, when there are so many other better safer methods of dissolving ear wax? The best method is to put drops of warmed extra virgin olive oil in the ears regularly, or use baking soda in warm water according to the instructions in this article: http://www.helium.com/items/849460-ear-wax-removal-dos-and-donts If you have mucus or fluids in your ears try these treatments: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/treat8.php But remember that all healing comes from within, and treatments are only done to help alleviate symptoms but they will not cure. All the best, Bee
