white impression line going across the width of finger nail!!

I've had an white impression (line) across the width of my fingernails on and

off for a couple of years now. I know that this can mean various things. There

just on my thumbs and pointer fingers. What do you think?

From what I've read about them, it could be linked to iron defiencey, arcenic

poisioning, and kidney failure. I'm thinking that it would be wise to have it

looked at by my doctor!
