Guest guest
I picked up some tallow last Friday to try to make soap. I still feel like I know so little. Anyway, I have felt like I had some kind of bug this last week. The tallow has been refrigerated. Is it still ok to use? Should I freeze it, or start with a new batch? Do I pitch it out only if it smells bad? I do not want to make my first batch and have problems (that can be easily avoided). Also, I have a 4 year old boy. Should I find someone to watch him while I make soap? If I keep a window open, would it be OK? Or is this process too toxic that even a small amount of fumes could cause problems? Also, I assumed it was all beef tallow, but I'm not sure. Will it make a big difference if it's pork and beef? Thanks for your help. You can email me at bevhammond@..., since I'm not able to check the list every day! Bev bottle it says to > refriderate after > opening..> __________________________________________________

Do you think it would be ok to use in salads as an alternative to olive oil? +++Hi Carole. I'm not familiar with avocado oil - do you have more information on it? Guest guest
Hi Bee, Only what's on the bottle. total fat 14g sat - 2g trans - 0g poly - 2g mono - 10g Cholesterol - 0 sodium - 0 carbs - 0 protein - 0 refined expeller pressed I'm reacting to olive oil now. My hands dry up and the skin cracks open. (not good working in surgery/blood=open pathogen pathway) My ND suggested this oil as an alternative as he feels the omega balance is good. I want to use it in salad dressings and ease the olive oil back into my diet. Do you think it would be ok to use in salads as an alternative to olive oil? Thank you! Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > Only what's on the bottle. > > refined > expeller pressed +++Hi Carole. Refined is your clue that it isn't a good fat/oil to use, even if it is expeller pressed. +++Here's how avocado oil how is processed: " Raw avocado oil is extracted from ripe fruit following maceration (smashing it), **heating,** addition of herbaceous silicious material (glass-like substance that is dangerous), and pressure extraction. Crude avocado oil can be extracted from the remaining cake by suitable solvents. The oil can further be refined by treatment in a diatomaceous earth filter - see this article about the dangersof diatomaceous earth: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/mn9.php +++So no, processed avocado oil is not okay to consume by anyone, healthy or unhealthy. > > I'm reacting to olive oil now. I want to use it in salad dressings and ease the olive oil back into my diet. +++The reason you are reacting to olive oil is because it is antifungal so it is causing healing/detox/die-off reactions, during which toxins coming out through your skin causing it to become dry, crack open and even bleed. +++I suggest you do everything you can to help your body detoxify, and also soak your hands in baking soda: put 2 tablespoons of baking soda in enough warm water to soak your hands in, and hold them in there for about 10-15 minutes at a time. Also apply unrefined coconut oil to your skin and pat on some baking soda afterward. +++Here's things to help you detoxify: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/detox.php +++Of course healing comes more from within, so ensure you are consuming high " good " fats according to the ratios I recommend - see this: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foods8.php > > Do you think it would be ok to use in salads as an alternative to olive oil? +++Use 1/2 extra virgin olive oil and 1/2 unrefined coconut oil instead - see this recipe: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/recipe156.php All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hi Bee, Yuck, no more avacado oil. Can I ask where you got the information on how is manufactured?? All the information I have found glosses over the production of the oil. How does the baking soda help my hands? Does it act like an epsom salt bath? Thanks for the mayo recipe. :-) I like that it's easy on the olive oil....I think that would be a good start for me. I'm detoxing my body now with good fats, coconut oil, pau d'arco tea and some garlic. Also drinking ginger tea. I had good changes in my body with a traditional diet for the past 3 years and have had SIGNIFICANT changes with the paleo diet for the last few months. With your information and help I have gotten rid of the few remaining foods that were keeping the yeast hangin' around. I am also working on getting my supplements together. I WILL BEAT THE CANDIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for your help Bee, Carole ++Here's how avocado oil how is processed: > > " Raw avocado oil is extracted from ripe fruit following maceration (smashing it), **heating,** addition of herbaceous silicious material (glass-like substance that is dangerous), and pressure extraction. Does it act like an epsom salt bath? +++No, it doesn't contain magnesium like Epsom salt does. It is soothing to the skin and helps relieve itchiness, etc. It is recommended for mosquito bites too. > Thanks for the mayo recipe. :-) I like that it's easy on the olive oil....I think that would be a good start for me. +++You are welcome. > I'm detoxing my body now with good fats, coconut oil, pau d'arco tea and some garlic.
