Guest guest
Re the NOW brand. I have a friend, big firefighter guy, who about a year ago had total global amnesia. TGA is short term amnesia, lasts less than a day. After that he recovered but didn't feel like himself. Said he felt like he was walking around with a football helmet on. I sent him some NOW oregano oil, the pure stuff. They have two, one is full strength, the other is 25%. So I sent the pure stuff and he put it on the bottom of his feet and the strange feeling in his head disappeared. Makes us both think that the TGA was a pathogen. He also has a friend who went unconscious and nearly died and they thought he had a stroke, but he didn't. The doctor gave the guy antibiotics, just guessing that it might be viral and the guy came out of it. I think oregano oil could have helped. Anyway. For us it has worked well. I think it is a good thing to have on hand. As a side note. My friend put it full strength in his mouth and thought he was going to die. Definitely dilute this stuff. And don't overuse or it can become an allergen. Blessings Donna Re: Oregano Oil Hi Dotsie, I have been using 'NOW' brand oregano oil from a health food store. Is there a better grade? Guest guest
I purchased Juice of Oregano for my brother in law who has ALS Lou Gehrig. I told him to use it everyday as a health tonic. Juice of Oregano * Helps to recapture your strength * Excellent physical and mental tonic * Rich in safe, plant-derived oxygen * Improves digestion, metabolism, and circulation Juice of Oregano A New Substance You Must Know About Dear Friends:I've found this lovely Juice of Oregano to be one of the finest of all natural substances. Juice of Oregano is highly aromatic extract made from wild oregano. The oregano is entirely wild and grows high in the mountains-up to 12,000 feet above sea level. This means that wild oregano is an excellent source of natural oxygen, which the plants concentrate from the mountain air. In contrast to oil of oregano, Juice of Oregano is exceptionally rich in oxygen, because juice and oxygen mix. Remember, oxygen is the most critical nutrient, especially for the brain and other internal organs. That's why I like it both as a physical and mental tonic. I take Juice of Oregano every day, especially for a boost in energy. Take it as a digestive tonic; it really stimulates the digestive juices. I use it both as a digestive aid in case of indigestion as well as for halting spasticity such as irritable bowel or diarrhea. My favorite use ia as a tonic, that is an oxygen tonic. We sorely need oxygen. Now that the earth has been deforested and the atmosphere polluted, we can't get as much oxygen as we need. Here is an easy way to consume natural oxygen, because oregano juice contains a wide variety of substances called " oxygenated compounds. " These compounds contain oxygen which occurs naturally from the plants; no synthetic oxygen is added. Synthetic oxygen is potentially caustic, but plant oxygen is entirely safe. So, drinking Juice of Oregano is the perfect was to ingest the oxygen we need. Oregano juice has ancient uses. For hundreds of years it has been relied upon as a health enhancer and disease fighter. So if you wish to stimulate your body's functions to improve your digestion, metabolism, and circulation, drink your juice every day. How to Use Juice of Oregano 1. Drink the juice straight in the morning with breakfast (for tough folks) 2. Add the juice to any vegetable of fruit juice. Best juices: tomato and V-8 3. Add the juice to salt water as an internal tonic or gargle (salt aids in absorption) Dr. Cass Ingram Nutritional Physician Oil of Oregano Wild oregano is an oil rich plant. Each oregano leaf contains hundreds of oil glands. This oil is rich in a variety of natural compounds. The primary constituent of this oil is known as polyphenolic flavonoids. One of these, carvacrol, is a potent natural antiseptic. As discussed is Dr. Cass Ingram's " The Cure is in the Cupboard: How to Use Oregano for Better Health " oregano oil has been tested against a variety of microorganisms and is found to exert a high degree of anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, anti-viral and antibacterial actions.Oregano is perhaps the most powerful herbal anti-fungal agent known. Its effectiveness is enhanced by its safety, since it is entirely non-toxic. This is of crucial important with disseminated fungal infections, such as Candidiasis, since large doses may be necessary to establish a cure. Furthermore, fungal resistance to oregano is exceptionally rare. Oregano is such a potent anti fungal agent that it is capable of destroying even resistant fungal forms such as the mutated fungi which result from antibiotic therapy.Oregano is also an excellent antibacterial agent. Its volatile oils are highly active against the majority of pathogenic bacteria, including staph, strep, and E. coli.In addition to containing essential oils, oregano is a rich source of a variety of vitamins and minerals, and is especially rich in vitamin C. It contains large amounts of chlorophyll, itself a natural antiseptic. The oil of oregano that we carry is extracted by a chemical free process from pure wild oregano. Commercial oregano, often labeled Moroccan oregano, is made from Spanish thyme and is not a true oregano species. Be sure to purchase oil of oregano that is guaranteed wild and guaranteed to be from real oregano. Real oregano, being a spice, is edible and can be used both topically and internally. Be aware also that commercial oregano herb is often not even oregano. As described by Taintu in " Spices and Seasonings " the majority of commercial oregano is actually not oregano but is derived from a sage bush, that is Mexican sage. If you look at a bottle of commercial " oregano " , it will often read " Mexican oregano. " Oil of oregano is a potent antiseptic. Research proves that it is highly effective for killing a wide range of fungi, yeast and bacteria as well as parasites and viruses.

Guest guest
Hi Abbe, It is supposed to be wonderful for a whole host of health issues. It is purportedly beneficial for auto-immune issues....of which, some thyroid issues are and many people with thyroid problems have . Do a search on Oil of Oregano and you'll find lots of info on the benefits. I still take it ( in orange juice) and give it to my kids as well. Abbe wrote: Hi , I see. I just wondered if you or anyone knows what the Oregano Oil is supposed to do. I have never heard of it connected to thyroid issues before.
