Guest guest
Laxatives are full of chemicals, and can cause all kinds of problems, including laxative dependancy. Metamucil, benefiber, and similar stuff are purely natural fiber with no chemicals and can safely be taken as needed, if you can't get in the fiber you need from food. The wafers ARE good, and I use them occasionally too! Guest guest
I consider metamucil to be a natural fiber. Milk of magnesia isn't. dan Wednesday, August 25, 2004, 11:31:54 PM, you wrote: d> We always read not to depend to laxatives as it can lead to more d> problems. Guest guest
Hi Bee, Are there any fiber supplements that are ok to take that will not aggrevate candida? I have tried using psyllium and chia, but I think I may be allergic to them. What about vegetable/fruit fiber powder that you mix with water and drink? I have seen it at Whole Foods market, but I forget the name of it. Since I also have Lyme disease, I am concerned about detoxing my body. Thanks, Amy

Fibers aren't healthy for anyone; in fact they are damaging to health - see these articles: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu3_2_2.php My program detoxifies your body very effectively, mainly because it is high in " good " fats, which naturally cleanse your entire body, even getting rid of heavy metals, and they also reconstruct all of the body's cell so they are healthy. There are also other things you can do to help detoxification such as Epsom salt baths, dry skin brushing, coffee enemas, etc. Candida is only cured by building up the immune system, which is done by: 1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements), 2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), 3) Eliminating damaging foods, and 4) Eliminating toxins in general. Please ensure you read two important articles so you understand candida, and know what you need to do and why: 1) How to Successfully Overcome Candida http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php 2) Curing Candida, How to Get Started http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement and inspiration see these wonderful Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php The best in health, Bee

I have previously been warned of intestinal blockage? We usually recommend Miralax for constipation, but a particular patient wants to continue her Fiber Choice after surgery due to history of rectal surgery. Any particular 'type' of fiber supplement recommended over another? Thanks, new orleans

We have found Metamucil (psyllium) to be a problem especially with lap banders.
