Guest guest
PS - I've been sugar-free and caffeine-free since April 1st and complied with the rest of Bee's program in mid-to-late June. So, it's been a while now that I have been following the plan and avoiding anything that would promote candida.
Guest guest
> > In just 2 months, I've lost so much hair, I'd say I'm another 2 months away from being bald on top. I was trying not to worry since I mentioned it before here and people said, " Don't worry, it'll grow back, your body is just retracing sympoms... " and elsewhere I read that any diet will lead to increased hair loss. > > But, this is just too much hair loss to be nothing to worry about. New hairs are not sprouting, either. > > I finally got curious and started looking into glucose + hairloss and see that low blood sugar causes this exact problem, among other things. > > How are you all getting your blood sugar without eating fruit or sugar? Apparently, there's not enough in vegetables and meat for me. +++Hi Nate. You get plenty of glucose/sugar from this diet because 58% of protein and 10% of good fats turn into glucose too! So you aren't lacking glucose. > > Also, check this out: I just got back from vacation and hadn't been to the gym for almost 2 weeks and was feeling jetlagged and sluggish, but I really wanted to jump back into exercise. So, I thought, " well, I will have 1 cup of coffee " thinking that might work since I haven't drank any coffee for 6 months now and it would probably be REALLY effective now. I got so sick it was unbelievable! It felt exactly like when I got food poisoning from catfish. On the way home from the gym, I felt so faint I thought I would lay right down in the rain and just lie there. My vision was flashing white, I couldn't see, I was dizzy. I was nauseated and thought I would puke several times. I sat against the sides of buildings and waited to feel better. Then, I would get up and walk a few feet more. All in all, a 10 minute walk took me about 40 minutes and when I finally got home, all I could do was lie down. Hypoglycemia or what? +++There is a period of time when your blood sugar levels will decrease while your body is changing over from running mostly on carbs/sugars to running on good fats. But hang in there since your body has to go through this process in order to correct your metabolism, etc. > > I'm eating nothing but the meat and vegetables listed, coconut oil, olive oil, all the supplements and probiotics and water. Occasionally, I have herbal tea. +++That's great Nate! > > My eczema is mostly gone and my other symptoms are gone, too. But, this doesn't feel right to me to be going bald suddenly and get sick from 1 cup of coffee. I have read elsewhere that your brain absolutely needs glucose as do other cells in your body to live and be healthy. Your body will make the glucose it needs through a toxic process in the liver if it is not getting it from diet, but it's supposedly unhealthy. +++It is not a toxic process that the liver goes through to convert protein and fats to glucose! It is a normal process that is very healthy. It is much more efficient to run your body on good fats compared to carbs/sugars anyway. And your brain, nervous system and heart run better on fatty acids than glucose too! This information is well documented in the book Good Calories, Bad Calories by Taube. You can buy it at your local bookstore. It was only $20.00 here in Canada. And, if worse comes to worst, your body will also somehow convert lactic acid for brain fuel. I read that purely digested glucose from fruit on an empty stomach is utilized by your body before candida even gets a chance and that candida mainly flourishes on fermented sugars. +++Pardon? Wow, there are some crazy ideas out there for sure! Fructose also happens to be the worst kind of sugar anyone can consume - do a search at www.mercola.com with fructose+danger and you'll see what I mean. > > I am considering eating 1-2 pieces of fruit now on an empty stomach. Any thoughts? +++If you do you wouldn't be doing this program and I won't be able to help you. Bee

Your goal is to build up your immune system and the overall strength of your body, so it becomes strong enough to " make " candida (or any other bugs) " change back " into the friendly organism it is supposed to be. Part of it IS not feeding/promoting candida with foods and toxins it feeds off of, but the most important part is consuming " proper nutrients. " The best, Bee
Guest guest
Thanks, Bee. Well, I guess I will just stick with the program then. Just kinda freaked out. That's a good plan my friend. I know about being freaked out, since I had hugh clumps of hair come out at a time when I had candida too. You can't go wrong following Nature's fundamental laws on health. And don't let all of that nonsensical information get to you. If you doubt this program read some Success Stories. Onward & upward! Guest guest
Is there any reason to put coconut oil on my scalp? I just read that guy's message that said he was strict for 1 full year and is seeing great benefits. He said he was rubbing coconut oil in his hair and then just rinsing it out with hot water. What would this do? Would it save me any hair, you think?

It helps in healthy growth of hair providing them a shinny complexion. Regular massage of the head with coconut oil ensures that your scalp is free of dandruff, lice, and lice eggs, even if your scalp is dry. Coconut oil is extensively used in the Indian sub-continent for hair care. It is an excellent conditioner and helps in the re-growth of damaged hair. It also provides the essential proteins required for nourishing damaged hair. It is therefore used as hair care oil and used in manufacturing various conditioners, and dandruff relief creams. Coconut oil is normally applied topically for hair care. " Bee
Guest guest
Hi Nate, I just wanted to say that pre-diet, I had an incredibly stressful health period and during that time I lost lots of hair. My doctor told me not to be concerned because hair growth occurs in six month cycles (or something like that) and that it would all grow back. Easy for him to say, I thought at the time. I have a major bald spot on the back of my head! Sure enough though, he was right and six months or so later my hair re-grew. Now my daughter teases me about my " horns " where my hair is all wispy on the side of my head. So...just thought I'd share my experience! Chris > > > > Thanks, Bee. Guest guest
Hi Nate, Just want to chime in here. I, too, am going through RIDICULOUS amounts of hair loss. It wasn't until I read another gal's post who thinks her hair loss is retracing of when she lost a lot after having kids. Once my daughter started breastfeeling around the clock, I lost a lot of nutrients and my hair fell out crazily. I am now going through the same thing after being on the program for 4 1/2 months (my daughter is 8). I, too, just have to bare with the hair loss and have total faith that our hair will grow back on this wonderful diet. I LOVE this food, and am excited that my body is healing itself! ________________________________ From: ckroman555 <ckroman555@...> Sent: Fri, October 9, 2009 3:47:28 PM Subject: [ ] Re: RIDICULOUS amount of hair loss now...
