Guest guest
This is probably too simplistic but I'm not an expert. From my reading if the blood pressure elevation is caused by a build up of paque from dammage to the interior of your blood vessels it could work. The theory is that the bad fats (poly unsaturated) do the dammage ,by free radicals, to the arerial walls.Plaque is the bandaid to help heal the damage. So change out the bad fat to coconut oil, which doesnt dammage the arteries and is healing . Then the plaque should be reduced and the blood pressure should come down. Also , the coconut oil tends to give us a better HDL cholesterol ratio. The more good HDL which " escorts " the bad cholesterols out the more scrubbing action on the arteries to reduce the plaque patch . If so, would like to know how much to begin taking, and how fast they saw any results. I live in southern Illinois, and the coconut oil I found was at wal-mart, in the cooking section, it says it's all natural...would this mean it's non- hydrogenated oil? I've ready on the container, and it doesn't say that, but that's all I could find there. We don't order anything over the internet because we do not use credit cards. If this isn't the correct oil, where would you suggest I order the right thing? Thanks for your help. Sincerely, Sandy
Guest guest
Coconut Oil and Blood Pressure Hi, I have read where coconut oil can lower your blood pressure, has anyone else here ever heard of that? My blood pressure has been running a bit high lately, and I'm not a person that goes to the doctor......... Hi , Well if you won't go to a doctor you could be in trouble by yourself trying to lower your blood pressure. The bp drugs are not all that bad but they can be very expensive and my first doctor just kept piling up the different kinds trying to get it down. He told me I was close to malignant hypertension. Didn't like him or his formula about just laddering drugs so i got a nutritionist, and an inexpensive monitor (important) to keep track myself of what the results were for the efforts i was making to lower it by foods, supplements, weight loss and exercise. It took a while, but got another doctor who told me things to do, and talked me into at least using a cheap diuretic. $25./3 months. A year later and I am under control now, lost 25 lbs, and feel very good. There are lots of things you can do to help, but you must measure often to see if you are making progress. I will mention the one thing that has helped significantly and that is green tea. I take two cups every morning, no sugar of course. google hypertension and blood pressure: here is one result: http://www.acupuncturetoday.com/archives2004/oct/10tea.html I am also using VCO, and not sure if it really helps yet as I am doing so many things different now. Good luck, and please don't ignore it just cause you don't have symptoms that alarm you. Lagoon

Increased metabolism, temperature, and high blood pressure aren't a bad thing, since your body has very good reasons for creating them. In fact blood pressure increases because of blood sticking together and other factors. Here's a quote from this article: http://www.mnwelldir.org/docs/nutrition/coconut.htm " Coconut oil, contrary to much hubbub, is good for your heart. It keeps our blood platelets from sticking together (and causing dangerous clots). Regular users of coconut oils have a much lower chance of atherosclerosis (clogging of the arteries), arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), and strokes. Coconut oil can lower your blood pressure. " The best, Bee
