Dear Bee,

I have noticed that my urine smells kinda like rubber or plastic of and on. I

know it can smell like that after eating asparagus but I haven't had any in a

while. What can cause this? I sometimes have a discomfort in my back, but it's

not pain. I don't know if that has something to do with the way I sleep or if

it's my kidneys? I don't have any pain while urinatingIs the smell toxins coming

out? Should I be worried about an infection? Would an infection hurt in the back

or would there be pain when you urinate?

Thanks,

Mike

+++Hi Mike. There will be changes in your urine while your body is detoxifying.

The smell is probably toxins, so do not be concerned.

Also, please do not be concerned about an infection. Doctors have many people

running scared that an infection can overtake the body and even cause death,

which isn't true. When an infection turns into a life-threatening situation it

is because medical treatments, such as drugs and antibiotics, increase the

body's toxic load. Doctors are " fear mongerers! " An infection is the body's way

of dealing with toxins:

1) inflammation & redness are due to healing blood is brought to the area

2) swelling is to immoblize the area so it can heal better

3) pus and other fluids are created by the immune system to neutralize toxins

and flush them out

If there were an infection in progress you would " know " because of pain, which

would be unmistakable, i.e. severe pain in your kidneys and/or pain when

urinating.

Remember that toxins move around the body and can be anywhere, which can cause

discomfort, and also pain.

You can apply heat to your back where you feel discomfort, and also take Epsom

salt baths.

The best, Bee
