Guest guest
Hi...I eat almonds for snacks. I hate shakes. I eat them with small cubes of cheese. Many times that is my lunch with a salad. I know cheese is fat but, cheese goes down and is easy to grab in my work situation....A little bird gave me this idea JodiCyrena Weeks <cyrenaweeks@...> wrote: Good question :)I eat nuts all the time, especially Almonds. Nina told me to stay away from the Almonds because of the fat in them, but they are a great way for me to get protein. Then I had another bandster say the same thing, "You can eat Almonds??!!??" I didn't know if she meant because of the fat or if she just can't get nuts down? I'm anxious to hear what others think Cyrena Walnuts Does anyone know if Walnuts are forbidden for Lapbanders? and if so, why?I posted a recipe for Banana Walnut Meringues on another site and it was questioned by someone saying "we can have walnuts with the band????", so of course it made me curious. Guest guest
I also eat nuts. I try to limit how many, but I have never had any problem with them getting stuck. They are a very good source of protein and are pretty healthy for you if you don't over indulge with them. Guest guest
I have been snacking on Cashews at work, and so far...so good. I'm thinking of trying the walnuts. Does anyone just use a spoon and a jar of creamy peanut butter? I may go that route at home and see how it works for me. Nutty idea? -jim vanessa bobo <vjbobo2003@...> wrote: I also eat nuts. You need to check whether they are trully raw, and if they are it is okay to eat them since they have only natural sugars in them like all carbs do. +++You can have 1/4 cup per day.
