Crinum for Prostate Cancer

Dr. Rowen,MD in his newsletter Second Opinion of November 2004 updated

his reporting on Crinum an herbal product from Vietnam that fights prostate

problems.He originally reported on this in Second Opinion of July 2003 at which

point it was used for Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH). The herb is called

Crinum latifolium.

In a Vitnamese clinical trial 158 BPH patients were given crinum based herbal

preparation twice daily. After 64 days patients were evaluated by clinical

and ultrasound examination.The size of the protate was reduced to normal size in

154 patients for a 97% success rate.. After 3 year follow up the rate of

improvement was maintained at a high rate for those who continued the therapy.

Some other cases now have reported that although the PSA level rose from 8 to

22, from 45 to 60 and 12 to 20, symptoms of painful urination disappeared,

prostate size decreased and biopsies showed no more cancer. Crinum can be

obtained

in the formulation Healthy Prostate/Ovary from Farmacopia 800-896-1484, Nutri

Cology 800-545-9960 and Get Well International 888-522-4372. It may also mean

that the PSA is not that good an indicator of prostate cancer and may even be

measuring an immune response to kill the cancerous cells.
