Mark,

in case you are interested: there is research going on re stevia at the

University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim. Udo Kienle is in charge of this scientific

program. He learned about stevia about twenty years ago in Paraguay, and

gathered

info on it since.

They collect six crops per year. He also stated that WHO has declared stevia

for being risk free.

Thank you for the information Katharina. I believe that most stevia is

safe, its just that some unscrupulous people will sell inferior quality

stevia that have pesticides and heavy metals.
