Udo Kienle is in charge of this scientific program. He learned about stevia about twenty years ago in Paraguay, and gathered info on it since. They collect six crops per year. He also stated that WHO has declared stevia for being risk free. I believe that most stevia is safe, its just that some unscrupulous people will sell inferior quality stevia that have pesticides and heavy metals.
