Guest guest
Hi , Some Associations of Holistic Medical Doctors may be likely to have members who are familiar with alternatives. You might want to call then first to see if they treat epilppsy. The following are good sources. Foundation fot Advancement of Innovative Medicine (FAIM) www.faim.org is very big in New York especially downstate in NYC and suburbs.Nationally the American College for advancemrnt in Medicine (ACAM) www.acam.org tel. 800-532-3688 American Academy of Environmental Medicine www.aaem.com tel. 316-684-5500 International College of Integrative Medicine (ICIM) www.icimed.com? tel.866-464-5226. American Association of Naturopathic Physicians www.naturopathic.org tel.877-969-2267 You mentioned using a Naturpatic Doctor (ND) I heard a very interesting one at the NYU alternative Epilepsy Conference last year. Dr.Nora Pope,ND The Email address for Dr.Nora Jane Pope,ND is drnora@... Dr.Pope presented a very promising talk on her use of Naturopathic Medicine to treat many of the triggers for seizures, coping with AED side effects and finding the root causes of the imbalances leading to seizures. I included a review of her lecture handouts in my Report of the conference. Dr.Pope specializes in treating epilepsy and has gained a lot of insights into its problems and treatments. She is located in Toronto, Canada but it may be worth a trip there to see her. Unfortunately I did not actually hear her talk, because I was in another session with Dr.Leo Galland,MD on nitrition and B vitamins--my specialty of sorts. arnold
Guest guest
Arnold, Thank you so much for your post (12037) on resources for alternative doctors answering my question in search for such. Thank you for something to go forward with. I'm very grateful for any help in this direction. This quest for help and support to find a cause, work with nourishment, find what will work with a particular body mind and spirit when to use supplements and which ones are the best to use, etc. can be such a puzzle. I get filled with questions and get so confused at where to turn for help I can trust. Thank you again for your help. .

The problem is that most alternative doctors will not take insurance. In the city I saw Dr. Feldman who had a heart of gold and did accept insurance. I have since moved and cannot make the trip into the city to see him. I need someone local. .. ..>>> Sooner or later, you just have to decide to pay for services, no matter what you circumstance..... and/or persuade your insurance carrier that it is in THEIR best interest to pay for your health care choices, regardless. mjh http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
