Guest guest
We were told this too - it applies to many meds, not just AEDs, eg - my youngest child's reflux med (prepulsid I think was the name) carried this warning too. Most of the benzodiazepines (diazepam etc) also fall into this category . It affects the meds that are metabolised thru the same pathways as grapefruit (or any of it's derivatives), as when they are metabolised together, it means the clearance rate of the med is slowed, and it can build up in the blood/tissues, causing toxicity.
