She can also go to her local hospital and ask to speak to their social worker and\or their patient advocate. They may be able to find assistance for her. She can also take her son to the emergency room, explain his condition and that he is out of medicine and she cannot afford it.They should be able to hook her up with a social worker or advocate there if she asks.
