Guest guest
Dr.Bruce West,MD in his newsletter Health Alert, September,2003 wrote about a new high technology therapy with no side effects. It was developed by Dr. Mahmoud A.Hai,MD and others. The therapy is done on an an outpatient basis and takes about an hour. A catheter is inserted towaed the prostate and a Green Light KTP laser at 80 watts is inserted for about 20 minutes.About 2 millimeter of prostate tissue is vaporized eliminating the pressure and structure causing urinary problems. For many men the catheter is removed the same day, for others the next day. For about a week nothing much changes, then urinary problems disappear, flow increases and sex is returned to normal. Tissue is actually vaporized and cauterized, so often there is no bleeding. To find out more about the procedure and find practitioners near you see the wbsite: www.laserscope.com to find a doctor click on Urology , then on Consumer and then on Find A doctor. You will get a list of nearby doctors. You may also call 800-356-7600. Dr Hai's clinic in Detroit,MI is 734-595-1166. This that may not be as high tech as advertised. or a variation may work. Straight Green light having been used for a long time in Spectrochrome therapy-which involves a simple beam from a flashlight through green filter paper as used in lighting from theatrical productions. It is based on the theory that different colored light gives off frequency wavelengths that stimulate or depress various organ functions. If you are interested in Learning about the uses of Light Therapy which may even be safer, you can get a very good book and video for only $20.00 explaining the system.
