Guest guest
Hi Kathy, In reading your article on Iron overload - I had the following thoughts: -during pregnancy I drank coffee - I seem to remember that this interferes with Iron absorbtion. -she does have a low grade fever when she is having sz's and I find that a dose of paracetamol brings her temp down and temporarily stops szs. This would indicate a compromised immune system I gather? -she has an enlarged frontal horn - I wonder which neurotransmitters this is associated with. -has responded *immediately* to pyridoxine and to EFA's on separate occasions - leading us to believe we'd found our miricle.. only for sz's to return after a few months despite continuing to supplement. At one point her diagnosis was 'pyridoxine dependancy' and she was the talk of the hospital. Similarly when we started with flax oil. -I need to get a copy of her hospital notes so I can check blood levels etc... can't believe I haven't done this already. -she doesn't have a lot of typical iron rich foods - doesn't like meat and there is no iron in her supplements - could be a deficiency? Thanks for the kick up the arse Kathy... I had become quite despondant... I now see I have other avenues to explore. Thanks so much. Guest guest
Thanks Kathy - I appreciate it. How do you stop your kids ingesting fluoride when it is in the water supply? Is there a filter you can get for taps?
