Nothing makes sense in the allopathic world if you think of it!

What do you think is the main cause of your daughters seizures?

Have you checked to see if she has mercury poisining or aluminum or lead

poisining? Then go from there and ask yourself, does she have full

functioning pipes in the gut, does she ingest MSG or some derivitives (and

yes, some pharmacrap has it in it), and then ask yourself ATAXIA HEH?

Ataxia generally shares a common disorder of mishandling IRON. When IRON

get's into the brain as in free iron, it does a hell of a lot of damage.

Ataxia and Fredrich ataxia all share a commoninality, that of iron loading.

Some iron panels will not show this problem, as it may be down to the

mitochondrial level. And that would not be a bad thing to persue either?

As well as a kryptapyrolle test. You can read that on my web site.

You can read much of what I am talking about on my webpage at

www.childscreen.org - go to issue proposals then click on #2 metals. Read

about pylorria and iron particularly. #3 would also be advantageous for you

to read. The other thing I would do is to check her for the stealth virus.

You can read all about that on www.ccid.org . Most if not all people with

epilepsy have this virus. I would hope by now the list get's this little

more than a hint that if they do not check for this, they may be overlooking

some obvious things here.

The other thing would be did you have a stressful birth with her, and you

can complete a survey on CHILDSCREEN to see if this is the paramater fits as

well?

I hope this helps in some small way?

Thanks so much - I should have known <sigh>

Astrid has just had a cluster of 20-30 seizures one after the other after being

mostly seizure free during the day for a couple of months and I just found out

that she had some fluoride varnish on her teeth yesterday morning (her dad took

her and didn't know about no fluoride). This was about 34 hours after the

varnish. Could this be coincidence or does this make a lot of sense??? Holy

shit! If that did cause it how long before it should be out of her system do you

think? We gave her clobazam by the way and she has settled now.

I have absolutely no idea Kathy and neither does her consultant (no surprises

there then). Her diagnosis is... wait for it.... 'complex partial seizure

disorder with secondary generalisation presumed symptomatic with developmental

delay and ataxia' which is liable to be changed at whim and usually is at

regular intervals <drip drip sarcasm>. She of course has abnormal EEG's but the

numerous tests; blood work, MRI, lumberpuncture etc... returned nil results,

NAD, no abnormality detected. Oh wait... she had a SPECT scan (I can't believe I

let them put that radioactive stuff in her veins) which showed some areas of

abnormal function (no shit). It's the 'presumed symptomatic' part that gets

me... symtomatic of what? nobody knows and 'presumed'? how scientific doc. We

have her on the whole range of supplements, tried glutein/caisen free, wholefood

additive free diet, magnesium salts baths, the whole shebang. She is on

Oxcarbazepine and Lamotrigine as well as the Phenytoin. She's had no szs since

last night but she wouldn't after the clobazam anyway but she was pyrexic this

morning and threw up after breakfast. She is also begining to show signs of

nerve damage in her left arm due to the phenytoin, but this is the only thing

keeping her from status at the moment. They took her levels and I'm waiting for

the results. I'm at a total loss as to where we go from here.
