Guest guest
Hi Jackie, We are sooo happy for you --- 'sounds like you just 'breezed' right through this ordeal like a real trouper. You must have had a great PS for this explantation, and you definitely have a marvelous attitude about this change. We will pray things continue to go so easily for you during your full recovery. As time goes on you will continue to feel even better -- like a huge weight has been lifted! The surgery was performed at about 10:30am and I was home by 2pm. Gord made me some lunch and I slept for about 3 hrs. His bro and wife came over so we all went out for dinner. I can't believe that I was up and around and not nauseous. I feel great. As for how I feel about not having implants anymore......I feel great!!!!!! I lifted my shirt when I got home and got a full view of what my breasts look like and altho small (way smaller now) I just smiled from ear to ear. This is the real me I said to myself. I have clear plastic tape across the incisions right now so they are a little misshapen but that will change next week when that comes off. I love my new body. I don't care if I don't have a big bust. Thats not whats going to make me a better person. I'm really happy with the results. I guess maybe I was ready for this wasn't I? I haven't had to take any pain pills.....I've been tender but not enough that it has caused me any great discomfort. I did go this morning to Wal-Mart to buy a new bra that will hold me in place to prevent the tenderness from jiggling around. I can sleep in this one as well and that will help with the comfort while laying down. I will check back in soon and see how you all are doing. Take care, Jackie
Guest guest
Jackie, Congratulations! You did it! And it sounds like you have come through with flying colors. I am so happy to hear that you are pleased with the outcome so far. Make sure you read your post op report and look for the wording that discusses the removal of the scar tissue completely....the all important total capsulectomy, however they word it. Stay in touch and let us know how your recovery is going! It sounds like you made it through the wedding and other medical obstacles to this point. Now, onward with the new you! I am very happy that you have made it this far and have such a great attitude. LOve, Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: Jackie Sent: Tuesday, May 29, 2001 12:19 PM Subject: Explant done!! Guest guest
Jackie, Congratulations on your surgery!! I'm so glad that you're feeling good and are having minimal discomfort/pain. The explant was so much easier than the implant, wasn't it? You will only begin to feel better and better over time. Don't be alarmed if you have some bad days where you feel tired and sluggish, or have some muscle/joint pain. This is normal. Just keep on thinking positive and you will feel even that much more better!!!! Take care, e
